Yeah I know that too! I've had Biryanis around Park Circus and Chitpore Road there; actually all over the place.....
Putting a grated Boiled Egg as garnish is about acceptable, but in the meat??

The reason was after the 1857 revolution the British exiled the nawab in bengal , the Nababs did not have the money to afford large quantities of meat so his chef used to add potatoes in lieu of the meat to make it more wholesome.

Just bought a few months ago a who range of shaan masalas . but this one was not available in HYD . sad, would have loved to try it . their memoni biryani is superb .
