Of course. I only mention this as part of the out-castes. Avarna means one without Varna. The context is that today the status of Tribals is much worse than the status of Dalits. That is also indicative of the status of Avanras in our society. More things change, more things remain the same.

I see no persecution of the Tribals by our society. How many of us go to forests to harass them? Much of their plight is owing to the misrule by the Congress and the Marxists. When the entire society was reduced to penury what is to say of the ones who are most distant in the food chain.

I wanted to read the oath of vayuputras and the secret of nagas too but unfortunately those books are not available in this country.
Btw I didnot find that line anywhere in the meluha book.

levina, i don't know if you noticed this but indrani speaks with the aggression and religious fanaticism of a typical indian college boy. i don't know if indrani adopted that attitude or indrani is really a "he"... i had invited indrani for tea in bangalore but she declined.

Wo. That is certainly news to me. LOL. I had no idea we went into Korea. May be you can provide some references to this secret war which India launched in Korea of all places when Nehru was denying his military even boots to wear.

These idiots have no idea about the caste system. They have no idea that initially caste system was put into place for purposes of governance and classifying the population. They have no idea that this system later became rigid and caste became a birth right!
I am pretty sure the first Muslim invaders into the subcontinent must have been very amused about the whole rigid caste system prevalent during the times!
