Although a headscard is not a big issue tbh, so I feel the college should let them. At first I thought the issue is of a School not a college so a college should’nt make an issue over a headscarf if there is no uniform of the college. If there is then they should not.

All schools I know had Uniform. Uni=>single.
There are specific rules to be followed in specific institutes, societies, countries.
Some people want 'special treatment' everywhere. Right to pray, right to wear, right to do this, right to do that.
It is so irritating.
Anyone wanting 'special treatment' should be shown his/her place.

Uniform takes into account societies cultures, customs and most importantly religion as well. No institution can claim to be champion of uniform than armed forces, yet provisions are provided for faith based concerns such as Turbans for Sikhs, Beard for some observing Muslims etc.
If this was some right wing European country it may have made some sense, but in India which has a history of Muslims and a population of 200 million you cant even let them get education now for following their beliefs ? The uniform code can easily be updated to include provision for Hijab (such as color etc.)
