What I don't understand is that why does the guy, in spite of being pretty strong, looks like a tub of butter ? I mean I'm not saying that a powerlifter should look like Arnold but surely a slightly more toned look would have been nice.

You are someone that has never been to Pakistan. Very foolish statements you have written. My uncle is one Pakistani that bench lifts cars for a daily work out. We have an entire city dedicated to wrestling in Pakistan. Our country has gotten the wrestling culture from Iran, but to say our men are not strong is idiocy on your part. LOL @ you.

Nope, I've never been to Pakistan. :what: So, since your uncle can bench-lift cars, we have the ability to compete for honours on a world stage? What! Stop being melodramatic, we suck at wrestling and weightlifting, that doesn't mean we can't compete for medals in the future. However, with our athletes being so under-funded, we won't be seeing anything positive in the coming years. Pakistani athletes with the most potential should be funded to go across the border into neighbouring Iran, and learn from their top coaches.

Our[Pakistan] best hope of ever being successful remains in the sport of boxing, but with our current crop of boxers complaining of a lack of funding, we won't be having anything to cheer about for a long time.

That's seem to be the case of all online Pakistanis, however India absolutely dominates Pakistan in all contact sports in Commonwealth, Asiad or Saarc.

Listen, I never said that comment to be spiteful, but it definitely has an element of truth whether you like it or not. So what? When has Pakistan been renowned for being good at 'contact' sports? Sums up your mentality when you're clutching at straws. Pakistan and India should be trying its best to compete with countries like Russia, Eastern European countries, China/Japan/Korea and Iran/Azerbaijan. Please, stop this childish mentality of comparing one country to another, we both suck at these sports. Be honest!

Congratulations to both Behdad Salimi and Sajjad Anoushiravani Hamlabad (!)

I still think Hossein Rezazadeh had the potential to lift more than 500 kg in total, sad that he was injured, could not live up to his potential. Maybe Behdad Salimi under the guidance of Hossein Rezazadeh will improve his performance further to create more world records.
