Pléiades 1A and Pléiades 1B spy and surveillance satellites have a resolution of 0.5m with excellent specifications..

After Morocco launched the latest spy satellites at the end of last year, dubbed Mohammed VI-A under the name of the symbol MN35-A and in a secret deal between Morocco and France in 2013 before being officially unveiled years after that. Morocco is preparing to launch the second spy satellite Mohammed VI-B in November this year.

As for the first spy satellite, it will be launched by the Italian VEGA rocket, the Kourou base in South America.

The satellites are manufactured by Airbus with the participation of Moroccan engineers headed by Karim Tagmouati. They are under the supervision of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces at the reception and control center of the first air base in Salé.

The two satellites have a great ability to detect and identify weapons stores and military basesas as well as military troops and equipment movement, hence guaranteeing Morocco an early warning of any surprise attack.

The two satellites also have great effectiveness in monitoring the land and sea borders, especially against the smuggling. While the second satellite will focus mainly on the control of the Sahel and the Sahara countries, which has known uninterrupted activity of the extremist groups.

The satellites monitor and record what happens on the Earth with high accuracy and around the clock. They can capture up to 500 images a day and send them to the ground control station and can also provide three-dimensional images through a joint operation between satellites A and B.
