#ModiInUSA 2.0 News & Updates : Make in India Singam Roaring tour

News break : Patels called off Anti reservation Rally and now they say they will show full support for our PM. But funny how NDTV kept asking them "Why you stopped Anti Modi Rally. Are u influenced by political motives"

Patels : Totally wrong. We are always with our prime minister. India should change our reservation mindsets. And our PM is the only hope :)

Modi reached his hotel. Welcomed with resounding Har Har Modi - Modi gi zindabad slogans in front of the hotel.

On talks with Pakistan : Indian delegation REJECTED any rumors of talks. It's conformed!!! India asked Pakistan to undertake the initiatives made in Russia. UFA Pact. Says it's the way forward. The UFA Pact should be honored for better ties between India and Pakistan. So even though Pakistan PM and our PM stays at the same hotel there won't be any talks. As of now.

No bilateral meeting scheduled between Modi, Sharif in US: MEA | Latest News & Updates at Daily News & Analysis

"There will be no deliberate attempt (at paths not crossing). If a hand shake happens, you will get to see it. If a pull aside happens you will get to see it," he said. Sharif is slated to reach New York tomorrow evening.
Modi will address the Sustainable Development Summit hosted by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon on September 25, when the new and ambitious post-2015 development agenda will be adopted.
Sharif is scheduled to address the high-level meeting on September 27.

Modi will be in California on September 26 and 27 and will return to New York on September 28, when apart from meeting US President Barack Obama, he will attend the high-level Peacekeeping Summit at the UN headquarters. Since Sharif will also be attending the summit, the multilateral gathering will provide a forum for the leaders ofIndia and Pakistan to come face-to-face.

Modi, who arrived in New York on Wednesday for his second US visit, will depart for India late September 28 or the early morning of September 29 but Sharif will remain in the city. He will address the annual debate of the General Assembly on September 30, a day before India's External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj addresses the gathering of world leaders on October 1.

Paneer Ravioli, Pomegranate Sangria and... Investments: PM Modi's Menu for US CEOs
Paneer Ravioli, Pomegranate Sangria and... Investments: PM Modi's Menu for US CEOs

NEW YORK: When Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets with 47 top American CEOs for dinner at the Waldorf Astoria on Monday, he will be inviting them to feast on India - literally. An all organic meal prepared by four-time Michelin-starred Chef Vikas Khanna will be based on the foods of the Festivals of India, from the south to the North-east.

The fusion wonders for the evening include Sandalwood Saffron Sherbet, Pomegranate Sangria With Tandoori Pineapple, Paneer Ravioli, Thandai Chicken, Mizoram Black Rice Khichdi, Saffron Sheermal, Mango-Ginger Soup and Coconut Rice Creme Brulee - all creations of the celebrated Chef who says he learnt how to cook from his 'Biji' (grandmother) in Amritsar.

But what's really on the menu is - business and investment. One official pointed out that the collective worth of the CEOs at the PM's dinner - which will be moderated in an interactive format by Fortune Editor Alan Murray - is 4.5 trillion dollars. That makes their value more than twice of India's Gross Domestic Product or GDP.

Among the companies whose CEOs will be in conversation with Prime Minister Modi are Ford, Lockheed Martin, Citigroup, Dupont, Goldman Sachs, BlackStone, Boeing, Cargill, Starwood, Paypal and IBM - covering the gamut from automobiles to defence and from hotels to private equity.

The fact that the Indo-US strategic and commercial dialogue was clubbed this time is a sign of how the route to Washington must first pass through Wall Street.

PM Modi receives rousing welcome in New York
The supporters chanted "Modi, Modi" and distributed sweets. They gathered about four hours before his arrival

Arriving at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel, he stepped out of his vehicle and greeted at least 500 people, waiting for him with drummers and dancers, and waved to them. Secret Service agents ran around him, trying to set up a cordon as the crowds surged and Modi tried to get closer to it.

The supporters chanted "Modi, Modi" and distributed sweets. They gathered about four hours before his arrival.

Jyoti Patel, who came from New Jersey, said they had gathered to support him because "he is a honest man and the hope of India".

Modi In Ireland: Irish Children Recite Sanskrit Sholkas To Welcome PM Modi

u will come to know which of the journalists (Barkha, rajdeep etc etc) are supporting which political party
When u listen to sagarika ghose going gaga over Rahul Gandhi speeches, and the same missing when other party leaders speak like Namo or even Nitish kumar, it wreaks of how political media collusion is harming our country

At least Arnab is better .. he toasts everybody with a mike shouting.. and is more nationalists then these reporrters who want to incite ppl to put India's PM in a sorry state.. A PM is not a political party representative rather of the whole country..
Wish media could understand as basic as that..

India is projecting its culture abroad and 30 million US citizen do yoga in US alone and several westerners like Indian spiritual values.

@Viper0011.

Indian IT companies created 3000 jobs in ireland and keep on increasing

There are about 26,000 Indians or persons of Indian origin in Ireland, of whom about 17,000 are Indian citizens. Majority of the Indian community is in healthcare (doctors and nurses), IT, engineering and senior management positions. The Indian community is well regarded in Ireland.

California: As Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the US for a five-day visit, India-born Google CEO Sundar Pichai said in a Youtube video that there was excitement in the Silicon Valley, and not just among Googlers.

"We're looking forward to your remarks at the SAP Centre in San Jose, and also when you come to Google," Mr Pichai said.

"The bond between India and the Silicon Valley is strong. India has long been an exporter of talent to tech companies. The products built by Indian graduates from IIT and other institutions have helped revolutionise the world. But it is India that's now undergoing its own revolution."

In the next few years, he continued, about 50 million women and 20 million small businesses are expected to get online for the first time.

"Prime Minister Modi's Digital India vision is central to this revolution. It focuses on connecting the 1.2 billion people in India. It has received tremendous support in India and in Silicon Valley," Mr Pichai said.

When the 43-year-old IIT alumnus was named CEO of a reorganised Google in August, PM Modi had congratulated him in a tweet.

During his visit to Silicon Valley, the first by any Indian prime minister, Mr Modi is scheduled to meet Mr Pichai, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Apple CEO Tim Cook, among others. He will address the India-US Startup Konnect and share his vision on 'Start up India, Stand up India'.

A social media enthusiast, PM Modi is expected to pitch his Digital India dream when he meets the Valley giants.

He is set to fly to California after attending the UN General Assembly in New York. It is the first visit to the West Coast by an Indian PM since 1982, and comes at a time India-born CEOs are running Microsoft, Google and Adobe.
