See now you're planting your own mythology which only what Indians are good at. Nothing to discuss factually, even if India looses a battle on the ground, they'll still come up analogies somehow they won in some way which is the reason for this argument. Case closed.

Even in Russian Air Force the missile is carried in tandem with R-27. That said, the latest variant used in the Ukraine conflict has increased performance.

A lot better. Otherwise China wouldn’t be retrofitting PL-12 onto legacy MK2s in PLANAF.

That is the R-77-1 which has increased performance - the trellis fins improve maneuvering off the rails but add a lot of drag.
Comparatively even though the PL-12A used the same seeker but its shape and fin style actually affords it a much better range without sacrificing too much maneuverability.

The PAF considers the PL-12B(SD-10) it fields equal to the AIM-120C-5 on the F-16s in pretty much every aspect - that is as good a compliment to give what is technically China’s first attempt at an active seeker fire and forget air to air missile
