Why exactly do we have Christmas holidays ? ........... hangover of the British Raj ? Time to make it into a working day.

Poor logic,Christian may be 2% overall,but have sizeable population in Kerala,Tamilnadu,Andra,Goa and are majority in 2-3 states of NE.India is a country of diversity.

The reporter along with people jumping are pure first degree morons. The circular is NOT for entire cbse (cbse doesn't run schools)but for navodaya vidyalaya. As a former student, what I can tell you is our schools are never closed on any holidays except 2.5 months (2 months summer, half month winter). Other than that, for every othe holidays, we will have one or the other activities going on related to that day. It is a boarding school for fcks sake..

And read third last bullet point: This competition is Online, with option to submit Essays Offline if participant wants.


This competition ( as stated in this circular ) is not compulsory .Only thing a student would miss by sitting out of this competition is Rs2500/- ( that too for top 36). Even Christians could participate from home while celebrating Christmas.
