Military's role in the identity of Pakistan

White pagri is quite common in marwats, sun is intense in our thal desert

By the way jatts of gujrat look quite different from very dark skinned jats of DI khan.

I have repeatedly told here that punjabis living in Gujranwala division are not the so-called stereotype "dark" punjabi look that pashtuns attribute to punjabis, the people living in Gujranwala division are more closer in their looks to people of azad kashmir and jammu region. That is also the reason why kashmiris from kashmir valley also heavily inhabited in this region because we blend in quite well in Gujranwala division.

The word "Dominance" seems to give sinister impression, and also it does not fit ,when you say South,S/west,North and N/west Punjab are not at par with the central Punjab.Pre-eminence or majority?.

aaah! thank you so much for letting me know this!
i didnt mean any connotation, but yes now i realize it...

@pakdefender

I do NOT hate Punjab, how can i???

Im sorry but i am not about to give my advisor's name here...

but, against my common sense, here's my university's card
there's this part "situación: pasante" pasante means i have finished all my classes, but I don't have a degree

Association with gandhi was due to similar non-violence approach, i dont think gandhi was an evil man. If you can convince me that he was evil and bad man, then you welcome to do so
So, Ghaffar Khan did not join Allama Iqbal(ra) and Jinnah(ra) because they both were advocating violence and may be against nimaz, roza and hajj as well?.

i have a bad habbit of asking questions since forever:p: you guys got to bear with it!8-)

Dasht means empty land/ plain

Behr e Zulmaat is the name of a sea.

Iqbal is referring to the expansion of the Muslim Empire and a particular incident during the invasion of Africa by General Uqba Bin Nafe.

"The fearless Akbah plunged into the heart of the country, traversed the wilderness in which his successors erected the splendid capitals of Fez and Morocco, and at length penetrated to the verge of the Atlantic and the great desert.... The career, though not the zeal, of Akbah was checked by the prospect of a boundless ocean. He spurred his horse into the waves, and raising his eyes to heaven, exclaimed: 'Great God! if my course were not stopped by this sea, I would still go on, to the unknown kingdoms of the West, preaching the unity of the holy name, and putting to the sword the rebellious nations who worship another gods than Allah."

Wow this Afghani sob de-rails every thread. He literally makes bigoted posts everyday, and has got the biggest grudge against Punjabis? I bet he got harassed by Rawalpindi/Islamabad police while living in some katchi abaadi. I also bet that he's a big coward in real life, venting out all his frustrations over the internet. How come mods haven't banned him yet?

Also someone report his IP to FIA or ISI, he might be an illegal immigrant who bought a fake NIC.

lol too much makeup yara ...

That still looks pretty good. The worst is when these Persians or ME women cake their faces with makeup, dye their hair blonde and end up looking like clowns. Thankfully dogra women have not caught this disease

Such looks are very common in pakistani parts of punjab south of jammu. Ironically Jammu is more closer to Sialkot/Gujranwala than Lahore. I have watched Doordarshan Jammu from my childhood because the signals were quite strong in Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat region. I have often said that from my point of view pakistani punjabis from these parts of punjab (Sialkot,Narowal, Gujranwala, Gujrat ) are more similar in looks to people of Jammu region than they are to indian sikh punjabis from Jalandhar or Ludhiana. There are even cultural symbols common too, the legend of non-muslim prince from Sialkot Puran Bhagat (2nd century A.D.) is quite famous in these regions as well as in Jammu , but not in rest of the punjab. A linguistic shift of "s" to "h" is also common both to punjabi (Gujranwala, Sialkot, Gujrat) and Dogri in Jammu. We tend to say Ahi instead of Asi, han instead of san, hi instead of si, ahan instead of asan, tuhan instead of tusan, tuhi instead of tusi for common punjabi words.

I'm not sure about your claim. I also don't think Punjabis look identical to Dogras on either sides of the border. This is the map of Dogri speakers

Btw more Dogras (from Jammu theatre- that's why guys look so goofy) :D

Your map of dogri language is utterly wrong , it is just restricted to jammu, region and some areas of himachal. Azad kashmri has three main languages, hindko and gojri in northern parts of azad kashmir, pothohari in southern parts of azad kashmir.

We in Gujranwala, Gujrat , Sialkot speak standard lahori punjabi with our local flavor.

This map is 100% wrong for Dogra speakers, to much area of west punjab included. Here is proper map of Punjabi dialects.

In central punjab, around our areas. There is group of people, others call them "changers" i think. They collect kachra, nomadic life style? Have very light features, speak punjabi. Which caste/tribe they belong to?

These dogras are better looking than any Punjabi or Pakistani I've ever seen :smitten:

These dogras look like Punjabis to me, they would not stick out in Pakistan.

This guy look is quite common in dogras but no in Punjabis. Maybe little bit of mongloid? Kashmiri dogras are what 2 millon?

Yeah his eye shape is strange but his complexion would make him blend in. The girls looks like a typical punjaban though. They would probably be recognized once they speak though.

Aren't dardics more related to Tibettan and Central Asians? So they would have some mongoloid features no doubt.

In Pakistan Gilget, Brusho people have small amount of mongloid, not others.

Khuda ka kouf karo, nothing special in them. Little bit of fair skin compared to other Indians isn't enough. But i can see why these people would be big deal in India.
