Is there a source for it or the OP has just made it up?

come to bangladesh and do the search... youll find some, hurry they're not young that i can guarantee they will be alive tomorrow.

International authors have already done that.. collected testimonies of bangali victims.. Pak soldiers and mutineering bengali troops are all well documented in books like:

http://www.ucpress.edu/book.php?isbn=9780520076655

A decade after the 1971 wars in South Asia, the principal decisionmakers were still uncertain why wars so clearly unwanted had occurred. The authors reconstruct the complex decisionmaking process attending the break-up of Pakistan and the subsequent war between India and Pakistan. Much of their data derive from interviews conducted with principal players in each of the countries immediately involved-Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh-including Indira Gandhi and leaders of the Awami League in Bangladesh.

personally i will be honest with you... in my village... a deal was made with the pakistani army that the village won't harbor any mukhtis on condition the pakistanis don't terrorize or set foot in our village... we kept our word and the pakistanis did theres...
But if PA was killing people/genocide why did they spare ur village?

but there was reports of harassment of women outside of village which made many including my grandfather's cousin to go in war.... he died of old age and years later when i was still 5-9 yo... we found stashed ak-47s that he hid... probably after the war on our family property...
In the midst of war rumours fly.. im definetly not sayin that no rape gtook place.. in war it happens.. and so does collateral damage .. but there was no systematic genocide or rapes of thousands or hundreds of thousands...

Than there were razakars and even criminals who took advantage of chaos whom i have no doubt atleast some of them would have defintly committed crimes for personal gains or enemities... But not the average Pak soldier...

But as it is said... history is alwayed writtedn by victors..
it wasn't that all pakistanis were monsters... many were good people who never harmed a single soul outside the battlefield... i have a uncle of mine who is now actually pakistani... he was in pakistan army and deployed in 71... after seeing the situation... he unfortunately deserted... went back through india and into middle east kuwait... studied and worked in world's largest islamic bank until retirement along with my father and now is in pakistan... doing business... we still keep in touch...
Ive personally met Bengali officers of PA who remained loyal till the end.. alot of them retired and are settled in RWP/Islamabad.

no military operation is peaceful! this isn't nazis in bulgaria alright.

millions died... lacs of women raped is what we say... go through your claims before making it public...

that doesn't mean the punjabs were forced to suddenly speak in urdu alone... i am sure its still not the case...
but with us it was.

1971 is pakistan govt. failure to unite their country... stop whining and denying you guys lost... and thank god the indians politically played and took the power from MAG osmani on november 24... otherwise if the surrender happened in mukhtis hands... none of the 90k would have been allowed to go to pakistan alive... (considering the barbarism evil acts of mukhtis after the war was over)

If no military op is peaceful then we really did nothing wrong, we just did what anyone else would do. So thank you for admitting it.

That is the case. It was and is still enforced, people are still against it and guess what? We give them the same response we gave you, but they don't become gun toting animals.

In 1971 over the course of those several months you lost 3,000,000 people and we lost 9,000. If you consider that victory I dread to think what you consider defeat.

Oh and please your little monkey bag heads couldn't do sh!t until India came along. You might have been able to win eventually, but it would have been similar to how the Afghans beat the Soviets. We would have retreated, not surrendered.

.
Resistance with what? Bengal was occupied by brits for almost 300 years...

What geographic advantage... its a disadvantage when u are corned by a massive country like india from 3 sides...

71 war itself was pretty much lost till the indian invasion.. those clowns themselves were directly fighting PA since march 70... u will even find their confessions in their own books.. heck even former indian coas VK Singh brags about indian soldiers were insulted by their GOC ... for greeting him with "joy bangla" slogans while in a camp from where they would fight PA wearing lungis and even train MBs..

Ironically 4 decades onwards u have no proof of it!

BUT academics, researchers who have worked on it rubbish your claims...

lets say 3 million bangalis were killed... sure.. but can u even find 300K bodies or remains of those killed? or did we eat em along with their bones?

There are no videos of any women being freed from HQs but there are facts how bangali soldiers raped, butchered families of WP soldiers .. the HQ of East Bengal Rifles.. or should i say the massacre of Pak troops and their families is a well known fact.
as well as the rest of india which includes you guys.. idk how that's relevant

conered yes... but if india moves its majority force from china and pakistan and go on for bangladesh... do you think you guys will miss the opportunity to solve kashmir problem or a invasion by yourselves? its just too good a chance to throw away.

71s tide changed with the mansoon... until then pakistanis were dominating... it's to be noted it's around the mansoon the guerrilla operations began... /// indian invasion on 71 started from november 24 when the command was transferred to the indian general from osmani... also there was a condition he couldn;t be present in surrender ceremony... so there is a bit of history for you.

okay lets go for your claims... 300k
do you think there was morgue to store the bodies in perfect condition throughout the war? bodies decompose... there was famine in the country.. there is footage of vultures crows and dogs feasting on dead people...
then after the war when population registry was set up... all the missing whose family never found them were taken as dead... so there you go... physical proof isn't always going to state the facts...
(hitler killed 6 million jews... have 6 million jews been counted? did nazis go through the hassle of counting number of bodies before burying or burning them? cmon man)

so you're accepting india humiliatingly defeated yall in 71? or are you gonna make up excuse for that too?

i wouldn't deny it again.. i have mentioned the barbarism of mukhtis after the war too... they did the same what pak soldiers did to their people... the very least we can learn from this is .... hate inspire hate... let us not divide on religion/ skin color/ race or personal believe... but unite under one banner... one nation! one people!

Nobody in the West was an exception, and you guys aren't special either so we weren't going to let you be exempt from the rule.
Urdu was official language, the language of the court and administrationof the Punjab, Kashmir and eastern portions of NWFP since 1850. In your province, it was introduced by the British in 1820 starting with one district and then expanding throughout the province for thirty years. In East Pakistan Bengali was replaced with Urdu within one month of Pakistan's inception which made civil servants, whose administrative language had been Bengali till then, go jobless. We weren't even given the time to adjust, and people say it was raw conspiracy lol. The only one's benefiting from Urdu were Punjabis and Mohajirs who already were acquainted with Urdu. funny how you guys blame us for your own Punjabi chauvinism.

enemies can trade deal even in wars...
they spared the village oh yes... but our village was hindu majority... now its muslim majority...
the deal was leave us alone... we will not fight or harbor anyone fighting you... pakistanis accepted on the terms that the hindus leave. great respect for them because no one forced them out... they left as refugees to india and never came back. just so some few could live.

man i can give you source of some other books written by someone else and it will say another story...
i gain my knowledge from people who saw it... because books are propaganda machine nowadays.
and i have talked both good and bad about pakistani garrison and the mukhtis...

tbh... if pakistan ever had great enemies... its not the indians its these traitor bustards... they are the ones who created division... i would gladly kill any of these cocksuckers... but time has moved a lot and there isn't enough eevidencce to prove who was one and who is not....

It is indeed allah who gives victory and defeats based on righteousness.
its never to late to repent though.

killing civilians is nothing wrong? US bombing the shit out of muslims and in the past pakistanis is nothing wrong? you are so hypocritic.

that's why you needed a general to free your country from terrorist... not a police officer. that's why your children were mercilessly butchered in school because of your hypocrisy

you killed innocent unarmed civilians... we killed armed militia who forgot they're doing crime against their motherland.

so you clearly accept india kicked your *** and is superior? or you have an excuse for that too? you guys had china and america supporting you... do beat your clit somewhere else will you.
afghans needed americas help... i bet you skipped a few pages in that history class...
and surrendered? well you did and according to you... not it us with honor but humiliatingly to the indians... made your neighbor's happy

.
And we only started the violence once Bangladesh started taking up arms. You shouldn't have taken up arms in the first place if you weren't prepared to handle the consequences
Pak Army were given KILL LISTS before March 25 by West Pak military generals who were averse to provinicial autonomy for East Pak. West Pak soldiers carried out those executions of Awami League leaders and workers simultaneously across East Pak on March 25 and 26. East Pak soldiers refused to carry out the executions which led to hundreds of them being neutralized across EP in the end of March. Most of the Bengali policemen were killed for refusing to comply with kill orders they were considered liability. Didn't your Pakistan Army feel ashamed when they killed their own soldiers like this. These killings led to defections from EPR and formation of Mukhti Bahini.

I am guessing you were not around when 1971 happened. In any case - your ego and nationalism is getting the best of you. The comparison to Afghan scenario is not analogous. Bangladesh is a flooded swamp in between March/April to October, more or less.....it is much more difficult terrain to fight in than Afghanistan and I'd say even worse than Vietnam - a terrain unfamiliar to most PA soldiers.

So - what I learned from first accounts (friends and family) is that by September/October 1971, the Pakistan Army in East Pakistan was well out of rations and supplies and were concentrated in only a few cantonments. Their morale was also (let's say) not very high. Supply lines between Dhaka and outer cantonments were cut off and were basically controlled by the Mukti Bahini. The PA logistics was getting weaker by the day (no supplies from the West) and Niazi had already figured that he wouldn't last the next monsoon season. Part of the reason why he surrendered. And he surrendered to Indians for various reasons, which came out during the Hamoodur Rahman commission report.

Pakistan Navy was not capable at that time to counter Indian Navy in the high seas and certainly not in the Bay of Bengal, most important Pakistan Navy vessels were moved much earlier to West Pakistan.

Indian Army did not arrive on the scene (crossed the border) before say 24 November 1971. Prior to that it was a proxy war using the Muktis armed by India and a war of attrition (very frequent ambushes on traveling PA troops, bridges/culverts/power-stations/logistical points blown up).

You were the one who said its nothing out of the ordinary. Not me.

Our children were mercilessly butchered because some spineless dogs (similar to your terrorists) couldn't handle a military like ours, so they went after easy targets.

India didn't kick our @ss, they had heavier causalties and fought an easy war where our Eastern forces were cut off from the mainland. That's also just 1/4 wars. Also, the Soviet Union supported India which countered our American support. The Chinese played neutral since India and the USSR combined at both sides was too much for them.

Our surrender was far from humiliating. We were outnumbered 13:1, so logically surrendered. We then all got sent back to West Pakistan. We got away with everything, a few guys got punished, but most of them lived happy healthy lives. So it's more humiliating for you, since you have never really gotten any pack back.

Your little farmer boys put up a good fight, and yes they would have eventually won and were close to it. But Pakistan would have retreated, not surrender. I didn't claim the battleground was similar to Afghanistan, but the result of the war would have been similar.

. .
What is their military budget, $3 billion? Hardly more than Sri Lanka. Its not comparable to India or Pakistan.. Not that it needs to be.

Bangladesh is an economy-based country. Our armed forces are quite neglected considering our economy.

Why are there things like f-18 and jf17blk3?Makes it suspicious.

Spoiler : Kolapara Base.

east bengal regiment... man everyone has nothing but respect for that regiment... everywhere around the world. a british friend of mine years back talked about how royal armed forces personnel were satisfied with the expertise and professionalism of east bengal regiment... proud of our armed forces. <3

East Bengal Regiment is the pride of our army.Thats why their name hasn't been altered yet ( they were named after the then name of Bangladesh - East Bengal ).Also, they are one of the oldest and arguably the largest formation of the army.

Ok point nicely carried..
But That's where you are wrong ...india in current scenario can not attack neither China or Pakistan because of their nuclear arsenal ..But in Bangladesh case they have no worry of any backlash.. So how will Bangladesh be able to sustain their airforce and naval attacks..How they can plan their land attack..is it possible

Land warfare is suicide for them. They'll try air strikes ( our greatest weakness ) and naval strikes. But China is our #1 Ally, who already signed a treaty to protect us from such threats.I believe Pakistan will take this chance to make a BD-Pak-China alliance to surround India.

The rape thing has yet to be proven. There is proof of genocide but nowhere near enough proof that millions of Bangladeshis were raped.

And we only started the violence once Bangladesh started taking up arms. You shouldn't have taken up arms in the first place if you weren't prepared to handle the consequences

Yes.400,000 women did get raped.
If someone strikes the capital city and kills everyone at sight and murders hundreds of thousands in one night, its a must to take arms against that particular someone.Thats why took arms against terrorist Pakistani army.

.. or who has the moral courage to talk about massacres of WP civilians and families of Pak Soldiers

Yes,Pakistanis were killed and tortured and even they are mis-treated to this day. There wasn't fair play on any side, but Pakistani Army killed 3 million...or lets take the avg of 3 million to 300k - 1.75 million while we killed a hundred thousand. Who was the most cruel?

Whats more ironic is when u somehow exagerate the role of bangali soldiers of Pak Army.. recruited, trained and fought for Pak as bangladeshis..lol

I meant to say Bengalis, but not confuse it with India's West Bengal.

For example the only PAF pilot of bengali origin to sore kills -- saif ul azam was trained and recruited and fought for Pak ... till he mutinied and joined rebells in 71.

Saiful Azam didn't fight in the 1971 war.He just "returned" to BD after the end of the war.Get your facts right.

Realistically speaking bangladesh, sri lanka or even myanmar have hardly a military worth boasting about..

Well, that Bangladesh beat terrorist Pakistan in '71.Shows us how "effective" Pakistani terrorist military is.
Maybe its true for the air force, but definitely not for navy and army.
Bangladesh Navy is in the top 20 largest navies on Earth.

Bangladesh was part of Pakistan. Pakistan's national languages are Urdu and English. Nobody in the West was an exception, and you guys aren't special either so we weren't going to let you be exempt from the rule.

Save that shit for terrorist Pakistan only.Bengali people speak Bengali & English, not languages of another country which not even a quarter of the population knows.

You brought 1971 upon yourself, and still cry about it 40 years later. Move the hell on like the rest of us have

Look whos talking! 1971 is mostly used to taunt Pakistanis. We are even constructing the 2nd tallest building in the world ( Iconic Tower ) and '71' would be on the top of it.

You brought 1971 upon yourself

Yes.And we won the war.We are happy to bring it upon ourselves.

We got the things we were ready to sacrifice every single Bangladeshi for = Freedom,Independance,Our Own Sovereign State.

Oh and please your little monkey bag heads couldn't do sh!t until India came along.

No no no,aliens came and liberated half of Bangladesh before India joined. The PN fleet at Chittagong and Mongla Ports were destroyed by alients.Good.
It was the Freedom Fighters who were wrecking the Terrorist Pakistanis since Moonsoon. They liberated village after village, town after town.

Now go die in a hole, sons of b*tches.

Most of Pakistan knows Urdu, but they speak their own language at home. Your culture is no superior to theirs, why can't you do the same? This Bengali supremacy you idiots think of is foolish.

Let's face it, you guys didn't have some glorious victory, you lost millions and most of the perpetrators of the war crimes got away with it.

DO YOU EVEN HAVE THE SLIGHTEST IDEA OF HOW BIHARIS ARE TREATED HERE?
They are allowed to live in slums only, and in worst living conditions. They feed on the same water as we flush out,and are freely abused ( you can try it too ).AL fan-boys burn Pakistani flags infront of them and they are too powerless to do anything.Gov't is trying to hunt down every Jamaati leader they can get and they, along with Pakistan supporters, are branded as terrorists ( they actually are ).
