MIG 21 crashes in Punjab, pilot dead

MIG 21 of the Indian Air Force has crashed today near Bhalania village in Punjab. This resulted in the death of the pilot who is from the nearby training institute of the area. This is the seventh crash of the Indian Air Force this year.

It is learnt that the MIG lost radio contact with the radio and this resulted in the MIG coming down. The search and rescue mission is trying to identify the reason for the crash.

MIG 21 crashes in Punjab, pilot killed

Muktsar, Sep 10 A MIG 21 fighter aircraft of IAF today crashed in Muktsar district of Punjab, killing the pilot.

The war plane was on a routine sortie and had taken off from Bhatinda airbase, Muktsar Deputy Commissioner Rajat Aggarwal told PTI over phone.

The crash occurred Bhaliana village on Muktsar-Bhatinda road, about 20 kms from here, killing the pilot, Lt Manu Akhori on the spot, he said.

Senior officials of IAF, police and from the Muktsar civil administration have rushed to the spot. - (Agencies)

It's high time you people retire these flying coffins!! On one side you talk of Pak-Fas and then this happens.

How on earth can your govt can bear to a lose of a pilot at the hand of these junks!!

And why cant they eject, i mean what the fks wrong with the ejection procedure.

Whenever this Mig type goes down it takes away the pilot wit it, how sad.

i salute those pilots who has the guts to fly these death fighters!
