Many of the civilians are just misguided by the mullahs so it is the mullahs who should be taken to task.

I will relate a story from Libya. It seems in the 80s Gaddafi ( who was an adept of the Quran ) confronted some unreasonable mullahs on live TV and defeated them. That single event helped bring some misguided Libyans ( and probably others in the region ) to understand the real nature of what Muslims should be doing.

Grocery shopping is an essential service since, you know, food is an essential item for human survival.

Praying in a mosque/temple/church is not an essential item/service for survival.

If it was feasible, groceries would have been delivered to every Pakistani at their doorstep, but since it isn't, people have to go out and buy essentials like food.

Mosques serve no essential purpose and even if they follow proper social distancing guidelines and restrict the number of people praying, it is an additional risk. Since it is not an essential service like 'grocery shopping', this additional risk should be eliminated.

If Pakistan had a socialist system of governance, you would have a legal argument with this. As of now it is not.

People don't need permission of mufti sahab to open or close their village mosque. I am sure people from other areas also come to the mosques where famous molvis lead prayers.

The use of daily wage laborers by the construction industry and allowing them to earn for the survival of their families is essential.

Praying at mosques offers nothing along those lines. Mosques are better off functioning as volunteers distributing food etc to the poor.

Amazing how you can read simple English in my post that talks about the construction industry employing tens of thousands of daily wage laborers, the poorest of the poor, and offering a source of additional income for them to support their families during this crisis, and turn that into support for 'corruption, injustice, plunder and risk of cancer'.

Yet more insight into the depravity and intellectual dishonesty of our religious right.

You're willing to put tens of thousands to hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis at risk, just so you can strut around like peacocks in a mosque and claim you 'prayed'. True Prayer is in the heart - no amount of showing off via physical prayers in a mosque and the dark smudge on your forehead makes you a good Muslim if you are incapable of acting in support of the State to control a pandemic by praying from home.
