GB was historically a seperate country a kingdom or an emirate ruled by the royal house of Hunza... the people cultural and ethnically arent kashmiri... infact they have more in common with the uighurs than the kashmiris......... also a point to be noted here is tht the people of GB consider themselves Pakistanis and are as patriotic as they get also GB province has the highest literacy rate in all of Pakistan...Also there have been several attempts n protests by the people to be recognized as a part of Pakistan... Yes you are right. When you talk to a person from Gilgit-Baltistian they will tell you they are not Kashmiris and they have their own separate culture, language, and history like Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa each have their own separate culture, language, and history. The British and the hindu hari singh annexed Gilgit-Baltistan to their Kashmir Kingdom.

And the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are patriotic Pakistanis, most want a province status for their homeland like Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The only real Kashmiri Sarzameen that Pakistan has in its possession is the small strip of land called Azad Kashmir, the rest of Kashmir is occupied by india.

Gilgit-Baltistan cannot be made a province until we gain all of Indian occupied Kashmir back.

Real Kashmiris know that Gilgit-Baltistan is not real Kashmir Sarzameen, only indians want Gilgit-Baltistan to be part of Kashmir because indians so badly want a border with Afghanistan.

And Pakistan will not accept Line of Control as International Borders. We have many Kashmiri families in high positions in government especially in Punjab Province of Pakistan. The Shareef brothers are an example, the Kashmiri families who fled indian occupied Kashmir to Pakistan will never allow Pakistan to give up on the Kashmir cause, and there's a lot of them especially in Lahore and other major cities in Punjab province of Pakistan.

If that happens then the UN appeal that you guys made for a free Kashmir would be void considering that GB is considered a part of Kashmir under the UN resolution. Secondly India is fine with its part of the land, but if you make GB into a province the whole cry for Kashmir being a free country would be gone.

Dude, Its not India who is clamoring for an Independent Kashmir.. Its pakistan that keeps crying a river in all international forums about giving independence to Kashmir. By making G&B a province of Pakistan, you are going to expose your own hypocrisy which anyway is now evident to most of the world. Thats why Kashmiri sympathizers like Dr Fai now find themselves on the wrong side of steel bars

Not true. We will still claim Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir like india claims Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. india made indian occupied jammu and kashmir a state of india, we will make Gilgit-Baltistan Pakistan's 5th province, its Pakistan's personal business.

Indian Occupied Kashmir when it rejoins Azad Kashmir will become 6th province of Pakistan InshAllah.
