You should blame the US for it's "quantitative easing" or let's call it blackmail to the world for the CPI increase last year. But Wen actually controlled the CPI in the second half year.

You wanna do the math and let's do the math. Say the nominal GDP and the average salary growth at 20% per year and the inflation is 10% then the real income/output still growth 10% per year. I don't understand where this "CPI這麼高，看起來工資漲了，其實是沒增加的" comes from.

I have been through 朱鎔基's era. It's not easy to cope with the 97 financial crisis and the flood in 98 and they have to deal with the Yankee's in Yogoslavia, in Taiwan Strait. To be honest, the old generation did a lot's of work so Hu/Wen administration will harvest. But development is development. Nowadays the annual average income in cities like Beijing and Shanghai are 60 to 70K. Lives in 2010 is better than those in 2000, and 2020 will be even more promising.
