Resigned or took an early retirement just 4-5 Months before his actual retirement date.

He was due to retire on 9 April 2014 but on 27 November 2013 when Lt Gen Raheel Sharif was appointed as COAS, he resigned as per Military culture because Gen, Raheel Sharif was junior to him.

Haroon Aslam personally planned and executed many COIN ops during very difficult times while remaining with his men. This is what inspires young officers.

not true.
he and his incumbent both come to peochar once the LZ and the ridges around it were cleared.
plus it was mostly a heliborne opp and I cant seem to recall any para drops.

As usual,,, NS searched for the weakest link, this time he had endorsement of other so called popular political leaders.
I'm not sure, if he would agree to release of Abhinanda in manner which took place on the eve of 27th February.
I wish Bajwa had consulted him.

yep, he was in the second chopper that landed SSG behind the enemy lines to capture or kill Mullah Fazlu ..
