What's new

Lt General Muhammad Haroon Aslam's (Retd)

yep, he was in the second chopper that landed SSG behind the enemy lines to capture or kill Mullah Fazlu ..

not true

only landed once the ridges around the lz were cleared and the area secured.
plus the first couple of choppers carried the company that cleared the lz from ttp all under fire. Then came the choppers with reinforcements. then came the choppers with the resupply....n it went on.
if I remember it correctly it was either the 2nd or the third day that they were flown in.

it was ttp home base so they were there in their 1000s....ALLAH was very kind on us Pakistanis and once ssg established a foothold, it was the beginning of the end for ttp.

clearing built-up areas starting from chakdara all the way uptill mingora and going on to behran and kalam etc, was the most difficult bit and the scene of some of the most bloody battles, hope someday one of our ssg operatives writes a book, detailing it all.
and I know exactly who that person should be, as he was there from the moment the Americans spec ops met our boys on the Pak afg border to peochar. He fought through it all.

one valley cleared in 72 hours with 1000s of taliban speaks how tough our boys are and what operations SSG did with US SOF?

. . .
just like trump said a few days ago, OBL died long before Abbottabad due to kidney failure.

SSG and us spec ops operated separately, both on their respective sides of the border.

This was very nice documentary from aljazeera
pakistan's war on the front line

where is colonel zahid now shown in the documentary?
and where's general tariq now?
and you can also see former dgispr asif gafoor in this documentary

.
Gen. tariq had very little to do with the ops in the general swat region and on top of that had nothing to do with ops carried out by the SSG
