London riots: Violence erupts for third day

Bad example. They had a dictator we dont.

We simply have it in the form of "Labour" or "Conservatives". It will always be the same two major parties managing the country's finance and playing with its policies.

From what ive seen on TV they keep saying there fighting for rights but they cant explain what so far all ive heard is "The police arnt friendly to us they dont talk to you alls they do is try and catch you for being unlawful"

Great argument right.

Egypt and Tunisia had 2 dictators who were in power for a very long time and lots of corruption and police brutality.

Again this is just non political anarchy.

Go away !!!

The crack down on London protester is real !!!

I live in the UK and I agree there is a crackdown due to social unrest. There are some criminal elements involved who are taking this as an oppurtunity but thats to be expected. Its unfair to say its just criminals etc involved.

So many of these fake new stories and troll threads.

So what do failed countries like Libya and other such do, wait for a small problem in the west so that they can claim its the same as whats happening in their countries! Its noteworthy that Libya and such other countries have a history of state sponsored terrorism against the west for which the west has punished them, all that pent up anger manifests in the form of such rubbish.

Time to elect the Labour government back next term.

You know your system is broken when you turn from the politicians who wrecked the economy to the politicians who cut social spending to nothing and caused this riot. And still have faith enough to think that the politicians who wrecked the economy will make thing right again.

Yes, elect them so that they splash lazy people with more money from tax payers pocket.
Thats not correct for the last 30 years policies of both main political parties have been very similar and net result has been that there has been a restructuring of fiscal policy in so much as money has been transferred from poor to rich in unfair taxation for example indirect taxation is at a record 20% which effects poor far more than rich. £1 in £7 from poor goes to tax whereas its only £1 in £20 for wealthy people.

by any chance, do you think that the government did delay in taking action or were they not anticipating looting to take place on such scale??

or was it administrators strategy to let the people show their frustration for a day so to calm things down with anxiety being killed?? (* just a thought)

I guess it was fait accompli. the Police handled M. Duggan's case badly.

That's what happens with increased numbers of jobless, poor parenting and levels of education. They think society is unfair to them, the government is unfair to them, police are targeting them and then all hell breaks lose. They don't need to provide anyone with sound reasonings, they will just go and do what they want to do to. It's like trying to reason with the mentally handicapped. The only solution is to go hard on them and change the country's social policies and economic structure.

Seems like the only EU nations to not have a riot in last 20 years is France and Germany only.
