Lockheed Martin signs pact with Tata to make F-16 planes in India

I wonder how the PAF pilots will live this new reality, how can they even spend rest of their lives seeing this situation of their beloved f-sola. May be they will push army to normalise relationship with India for f--solas?

Indians will have to pay protection money to USA, not Sweden, at worst France.

Not to offend, Sweden is nobody in international politics.

Gripen is a good fighter, but it won't be able to fly if USA don't provide you the F414 engine.

As a member of NATO, it will be very insensible to compete with your boss.

Yet the military budget of 2% of GDP is still not fulfilled asked by Mr.Trump.

The F-16 will not be able to fly, if USA does not provide India with the P&W engine.
No difference.

Sweden happens not to be a member of NATO, but unlike NATO countries,
Sweden has an official statement from the Trump administration,
that the US will come to the aid of Sweden in the case of conflict .
While Swedens defense budget is about 1% of GDP, Trump has not demanded an increase.

So no, the US is not our boss, but It would not do that he cannot check
on Fox News what happened in Sweden "yesterday".
It would spoil his evening, so no, he will not allow that...

If there is a country in with world which is the biggest beneficiary of 9/11 than it nobody but India.
I fact it is Pakistan, mushraff played it nice and got lot of money and military support

Though you are not entirely wrong. I think the biggest beneficiary has been Pakistan. Aid, military hardware, transit costs a seat at the high table of war against terror (biggest irony) & what not.

It could've been even bigger had your military not dabbled with both (Good Taliban, Bad Taliban, Haqqani, Osama etc etc) & coalition forces.

Using the Jihadi's as strategic assets has cost your country a lot. Innocent lives, good & updated hardware, a firm backer like US. You've literally driven away US from your fold. You could've milked the situation even more.

Now quite as a expected you are cozying up to China. The next presumable super power. But, China won't give you stuff like Uncle Sam did.

I have a distinct feeling your relationship will end up similarly.

They wanted to play on both sides causing their current state
But they are playing carefully with China now, less likely they will lose support

100 units of F16blk70 is quite strong. USA is willing to set up an entire production line in India.
200 or more makes sense for shifting complete line
@seniors how many years will it take to build that numbers

Throw some money , it will do the wonders

China will throw its money on Pakistan's behalf.
There is a big game going on to strangulate India which brags to fight 2 front war involving China to China's consternation.

China has 100+ billion investment, it wont go in vain.

The idea is to drain chinese economy, let the chinese invest 100's billions in Pakistan.

You cannot threaten Indians.

100 billion is peanut for China,
They worry more about having a subordinate at that price, difficult to get in this age

. . . . .
Its still a concept. Untill there is an actual prototype flying, technical comparison would be vague in my opinion.
Heard some Arab country has paid for it's development and is flying?
