Nobody can spend his or her entire life protesting every evil they see. People pick and choose what maters most to them. If a bunch of people protest against corruption, would you ask them why they don't protest against malnutrition?

If you think there are more important things to protest, then by all means, go out and do so. Who is stopping you?

i think kissing and corruption are separate things. no hell break loose if you don't kiss in public but i do agree with you on the rest.

Human rights and human freedoms have limits, especially in public life.. If you really want people to have the freedoms to do what they want why not ask for open nude sex and foreplay in public ? Would certainly be hilarious to see people randomly squirting at each other in the middle of the road ...

Anyway, in this case, they are doing it simply to make a point. Not because they badly want to kiss in public, but because they want to teach everybody that there is nothing wrong in a kiss.

Mohandas Gandhi and many gandhians used to hug and eat together with people from different castes in public, to make the point that there should be no untouchability, and artificial barriers like caste should not come in the way of human interaction. Many people at that time asked him why he had to do it openly, why he didn't do it in the privacy of his home. The answer being that he was doing it to teach a lesson, to better society.
