Yes, in the entire lifetime of Pakistan, the liberals have had so much control that Pakistan became into an Islamic Republic, passed Islamic laws, saw an era full of Islamization, saw an Afghan refugee crisis, and saw the rise of radical Islamism with popular support until APS, and to this day we see a Lal Masjid goon who no one dares to question.
Indeed, this is the Pakistan controlled by liberals; you guys are a bunch of jokers nothing else.
Progressive times in Pakistan, the 60's, saw a progressive Pakistan; and dark times in Pakistan, the 80's, saw a downhill going theocratic Pakistan which Jinnah despised, and Jinnah wanted a secular republic! Take a note from history if you re****s have nothing else
Edit: Had to say this. If you have a problem with liberal and secular ideals, it's a different thing. I respect all thoughts regarding what kind of a socio-political system should be in Pakistan. But to pick out tweets of a few obvious idiots, slap in some poems, slap in some events, and then say liberals are too powerful is sadly hilarious, and garbage. In the entire history of Pakistan, the laws and decisions have been influenced and guided by mullahs except in the 60s under Gen. Ayub and in 2000-2007 under Gen. Musharraf. All of Pakistan's despairs have been because of these people. If you see more people inclining towards secularism and liberalism, it is because of the success of other nations in it, and the failure of Pakistan's state in its history under religious influence of corrupt mullahs.
Blame yourselves, cry, do whatever you want, but this won't stop. Fight ideas with ideas, unfortunately your idea has failed Pakistan so far, and continues fail it today. Lal Masjid is a prime example; any and all major country shutting protests in the last decade ( you know by who ) are an example!
I cannot understand the logic of those who have been deliberately and mischievously propagating that the Constitution of Pakistan will not be based on Islamic Sharia. Islamic principles today are as much applicable to life as they were 1300 years ago.
Jinnahs Address to Karachi Bar Association (25 January 1948)
Pakistan was never meant to be a secular state, it was to be based upon the principles of Islamic theology. Illiterate mongs love to say whatever that suits their goals both the seculars and fundamentalists have imported a half baked ideology and preach it as what this state should be.
Jinnah clearly laid out the path which Pakistan would take far different from the fundamentalist sauds and iranians. Far different from the Secular and capitalist west. Far different from the communists and socialists.
"The State bank of Pakistan should evolve an economic system compatible with Islamic ideas of social and economic life. The Western economic theory and practice will not help us in achieving our goal of creating a happy and contended society....."
