Today, Turkey is at the same cross roads as Pakistan

The usefulness of both Turkey and Pakistan for NATO are decreasing by the day.

Turkey is not simply at cross roads it is a defining moment. If turkey goes fully monty on being radical, then it will be on way to join their brethren islamic countries. It will simply reinforce the existing age old conviction that Islamic countries can never be secular. Its just a matter of time, that they relapse to their islamic character.

Turkeys membership with NATO or EU is done for. Its just a matter of time, turkey becomes fully hostile against EU.
The entire thing simply looks like a pre world war 1 scenario. If turkey joins china & russia, then the circle will be complete. There will be a chain from russia and china till mediterranean sea arraigned against Europe.

First of all Turkey is a democracy unlike the 1979 revolution that was caused by the huge inequalities in Iran between the Rich about 15% and the rest of the population, so that is out of the question in Turkey..
Second, Turkey is the 2nd largest and powerful nation in NATO after the US.. so yes it can prevent NATO from doing or deciding anything that goes against its interests..
3rdly..More than 40 Nukes are in the hands and under control of the Turkish army, the remaining 30 to 50 are controlled by the US army, and newest US nukes are also planned to be stationed in Turkey, Germany and the Netherlands..To do that with Turkey shows how much confidence the Pentagon and The US government have in Turkey..

The only one who can say something about those nukes is the US, the ones you have mentioned didn't have and still do not have strong enough militaries to defend their own lands without belonging to NATO..Turkey was "The shock troops" of Western Europe against the USSR during the cold war, it was a huge risk for Turkey, that is why I think they are entitled to keep the nukes for themselves..

Who says US is interfering in the internal affairs of Turkey? No evidence exists that US had anything to do with the coup. This is the delusion of Erdogan and his supporters. In fact, the US has condemned the coup more than once. That it wasn't loud enough for Erdogan's ears is his problem.
