Srinagar: A fierce gun battle between security forces and militants in Kulgam in Jammu and Kashmir ended late on Tuesday night. One suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba terrorist was killed. He was later identified as Showkat Ahmad Tak, a resident of Panzgam.
The police said he was wanted in the murder case of a policeman and was also involved in issuing threats to sarpanchs in the recent past. The police say they had acted on a tip-off about the presence of armed militants in the area.
The police launched a joint search operation with the Army and CRPF. It was during the search that the militants opened fire and the gun battle began.

Need some clarifications from the MoDs. This dude who got killed today is suspected to be a LeT cadre (just like most people killed in Pakistani shelling and air strikes in Waziristan are suspected TTP guys).. Now LeT is a designated a terrorist outfit by the same UNSC that has listed Kashmir as a disputed area. On the other hand, forum policies prevent Kashmiri separatists from being called terrorists... So kind of a conflicting approach from the mod team.

They want to use the UNSC resolution to declare Kashmir as disputed but on the same hand do not want to call people designated as terrorists by the same UNSC as terrorists...

would appreciate some thoughts on this...
