They are putting it to paces to see if it is worth it or not. The second one may accommodate some recommended changes.

We are looking at LIFT, T37 isn't a LIFT platform. FT7 is currently used as LIFT by PAF. Show's you're just ranting and have no idea about the subject.
The guy's not on anyone's payroll but meet officials of tri-service regularly and is way more credible than most members on PDF.

Those planes from Turkey are NOT LIFT aircraft. They are for teaching basic flying.

Alan Warnes' interview with the CAS should offer more clarity, but I spoke to a bunch of PAF people at IDEAS. Basically, the PAF still believes that the K-8 is good enough for advanced jet training and the fighter conversion role.

So this 'LIFT' business is entirely separate and nothing to do with how other air forces view LIFT (which is FCU). The PAF isn't going to put pilots who haven't done FCU on its LIFT.

To the PAF, I think LIFT is about acclimating to an afterburner aircraft with much more range, payload and capability than a K-8. I don't know why the JF-17B isn't being looked at for the role, but whatever the case, it seems the LIFT might be a way for the PAF to classify Flying Officers for JF-17 Block-I/II and III, F-16 and (in time) Project Azm units instead of having an experiential ladder. Basically, find out who's that good much earlier.

U mean after FCU for the first OCU instead of FT 7 there's gonna be another platform other then JF 17B

Still unclear if the PAF will go for JF-17Bs (for OCU they're OK with simulators), but yes, FCU --> LIFT --> OCU.

i concur it is more a looking out exercise for now. alternative would be get jl-9 which is practically same as j-7. but i dont understand why they are not focusing on jf-17b; adding additional platform makes no sense.

Aeromacchi makes good places; we used our variants of impalas; they bore the brunt of all the operations in angola on the peak over 200+ were operational. extremely versatile

This aircraft brings a lot to the table … I hope PAF gets it for training and for LIFT and it can be used for other purposes as well. You people really need to do your homework go and read and see what it can bring to us.
