Conclusion
Overall the USN’s Nimitz class carrier wins hands down, but not across the board. It’s weapons systems and sensors are inferior to the Kuznetsov and Charles De Gaulle but this is mitigated by the abundance and excellence of its escorts ; i.e. the others have a greater emphasis on sensors and defensive aids because they need them more. The obvious loser though is Sao Paulo; so much potential, such an inadequate fit and no worthwhile air-defence escorts.

U.S. carriers travel in strike groups ( aprox 6-7 support ship) or battle groups ( aprox 16-17 ships). carriers of both groups rely on support ships to provide th bulk of the anti-missile and ASW defense. With the Aegis defense system more then able to control it all.

Nimitz is a carrier, Kuznetsov is heavy cruiser with some aircrafts. And Hawkeyes are better than any onboard radars because they can see over horizon.

^^^ i agree but Russians mission was different from those of US Navy and Royal Navy... they built “heavy aircraft-carrying- cruiser" carrier + cruiser.....

All carriers in the world travel with other ship escorts, right?
