Russia should ban western auto makers access to the Russian market . China should ban western auto makers too.

Western auto makers heavily depend on the Chinese market for growth.

Both countries should develop their own auto industries by banning western brands.

Auto is not a strategic industry so western auto makers should be heavily crushed. EU and Japan depend heavily on their auto industry. It creates a lot of direct jobs and even greater amount of indirect jobs.

Germany and Japan needs their auto industry to grow their economy. Hit Germany and that will hit the EU indirectly and destroy the EU.

Russia can withstand much more pain than EU. EU is a fragile union and when people lose jobs the EU population will riot and wreck havoc and chaos in the EU.
