KP and Punjab will surely protest, because you are building it on punjabi land and giving it to sindh, no way they will accede and KP is losing land to flood waters, which waterlogs the whole area. Pass a resolution in Punjab assembly because this dam is in Punjab. If other province don't agree then provincial government of Punjab should start this project. If Punjab government can spend more than 300 billion rupees on orange train then it can also build 1 dam

This dam is not for the drinking water of Karachi and balochistan.

The problem is that the river flows through multiple provinces, its not about the money but the consent.

only the people who object this dam will care about flood in kpk or in sindh when it comes every year anyways, why not worry about countries water shortage rather than province and even in province their are handful of people we call it qoam prast. Kalabagh is for Pakistan but some nationalist think that Punjab will have upper hand cuz they wll supply water to sindh which is true but again its for Pakistan not for punjab or kpk. i only understand of this dam's opposing reason if Sindh is planning to be seprate then we understand other wise there is no reason for not to built.

zardari is doing this for his own benefit, kalabagh dam voids sindh of water that it desperately needs and floods parts of KP.

the purpose of the dam is to store water and to release the water during the irrigation period, especially knowing that sindh needs water 1 month in advance to punjab req. due to heat....
the second is generation of electricity..
the notion that it will deprive sindh of water is foolishness... currently due to floods sindh takes a huge toll... with the construction of kalabagh dam the flooding will be minimized and will increase irrigation possibilities in Punjab and Sindh

irrespective of who controls it.... the biggest factor coming in will be when sindh requires water for irrigation it will be available as it will be controlled and for punjab kpk will have a revenue stream due to energy creation and will provide cheap energy to the adjoining areas....
please dont only look at areas of conflict but rather what can be achieved as whole new paradigms can be opened up
