HAL Tejas MK1A vs JF-17 Block II: What if Tejas MK1A face-off with JF-17 Block II at the next Kashmir skirmish?: https://www.globaldefensecorp.com/2...-jf-17-block-ii-at-the-next-kashmir-skirmish/
Depends! If IAF wants an excuse to retire the Tejas then possible. If it is any good they will keep it far away from any skirmish till they get used to the platform. This is not to cast any aspersions against the Tejas. It is just the fact that you dont fly in with a new platform till you have adequately honed your skills on the platform and IAF has not had enough time on the platform for it to be taken in to the front line and be used for a sortie.

If there is a patch then it looks like they might have experimented with this configuration as well though it will certainly decrease the range of the aircraft.

They would use IFR to fill the AC up. However to what extent will a 4+2configuration degrade loitering time and distance.

The innermost hardpoints carry two 1100L tanks, the internal fuel capacity is around 2300L so utilizing these two hardpoints for weapons would mean a significant drop in range.
Personally I'd still prefer twin launchers for SD.10's.

Don't forget the centreline fuel tank.
