JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

There is method for naming ships depending on the class and type of the ship. The second ship in Yarmook’s class will also be named after a battle from Islamic history. All ships in the Zulfiqar class are named after swords. Ships are and have been named after Pakistani towns/cities and Muslim Kings and Heroes from the sub continent I.e. Tipu Sultan, Alamgir, Shah Jahan, Larkana etc. Our people love to criticize for the sake of it and without doing research.

Hmm, what are they made of ? And do they sink to bottom ? Coz anyone who jettisons such boxes in sea leaves a trail behind i gues which might signal the ships route or trajectory

Well besides Prophet Muhammad PBUH and the 1st four Caliphs, we’ve not had any good leaders. Lots of people praise Salad Din as a good leader and model, but if you look into it deeply he was a failure as well — problem I’ve seen is that our leaders fail to deliver the final blow that secures the ultimate victory. Failure to deal the final blow comes back and bites hard when the enemy regroups. Only point I agree with you is on Feb 27th should have taken out other IAF planes we had a lock on and freely test SD-10 and take out the sub our failure would come back and haunt us. We should have gone Israeli on them fuckers to show we wouldn’t let even a single strike go unpunished.

Knocking out the other planes would have allowed us to check various parameters of SD-10 in actual combat and allows us to go back to the drawing board to fix any issues technical related. And allowed us to build a newer block with improved software etc.
Oh my naive friend. You have not read the history well. The Rashidoun Khulafa(May Allah be pleased with them) were the best amongst the Ummah, but their times were not without strife. The later half of the rule of Uthman RA and the whole of the rule of Ali RA was full of problems. FROM a purely strategic point of view their handling of the issues was not good even though from a religious point of view they were right. This is one of the dilemmas of our understanding in that we do not differentiate strategic and religious standing of people. So please do not make such blanket statements wiith such authenticity as they make your standing doubtful.
Kind regards

People can we take out any irrelevant posts and take them to another thread. Can we keep this thread clean please.

I didnt mean to go down that route. I am livid at absolute hypocrisy and use of religion as a blakmail and threat while on the other hand same moral preachers have no say over what I listed which I find equally blasphemous and disservice to nation and the society

despite all this we get this engineering achievement which is a marvel for a nation like Pakistan,
I shudder with fear when I think that our aviation technicians, our pilots and aeronautical engineers wont be selected for their abilities but because of their sect, their political affiliation and families like in the rest of our civil administration .. imagine what would've been the outcome of 27 Feb encounter ?
I second that,
Sahabas when accepted Islam, didn’t give up wine immediately until later when Allah sent a wahi to Prophet SA. However, they were dedicated to their cause and were always prepared to go to any extent for the sake of the cause. This is what matters in the end.

We should not forget, that a morally bad guy who drinks, does other things, will always remain like that, might be one day he might turn out as another one blessed with Iman like the sudden convert of Umar RA or Khalid Bin Waleed RA, both of whom were strong commanders and generals and didn’t die on battlefield.

Hi Bro,

I at no time admonish any of them and respect them, I just stated the best times were the 1st four for the Muslims per MastanKhan’s question. Maybe I should have better phrased it or be more clear.

From the advantage of Hindsight it is always easier to criticize what happened earlier. Afghan-USSR war, well the people who fought on ground and faced the wrath of Russian gunships in Afghan gorges tell a v different tale which vindicate American's stance about Stingers turning the tide of the war. Till 1984, progress against Soviets were v slow and Spitnez along with gunships were hunting "Mujahideen" (actually the foot soldiers of CIA's Op Cyclone) ... Had Zia that wise and strategic, he should have flown to Moscow somewhere between 85 and 88 to bargain with Russians about Indians over Kashmir (or at least in Siachen). What Soviets were about to lose at that time (which was evident to many in Moscow) they would have listened to Zia and on the otherhand, Washington had to offer Pakistan something more than F-16s to woo Pakistan in their camp (May be local production on license which would put PAC on a whole different level). But what happened, India took Zia's advantage and captured/snatched Siachen in 84 and he remained very comfortable with it. Zia failed in upping the ante at right time. We lost control over Nibra velley and Shyok river (a major tributary to Indus) along with 1000 SQ KM of land. What Zia did, removed the balance of power from the world and rest is history. Till Soviet empire was there, US remained hesitant to intervene.

Yes, that was a failure of Zia and for not retaking it back. However, the US is in Afghan and still fighting and Taliban still holding vast amounts of land after 15+ years they aren’t using any stingers or kornets etc. the Soviets would have left eventually they were going broke back home.

As for the balance of power my agreement is with you I stated that approx two months ago as well. But the USSR were stubborn and wouldn’t listen either in leaving Afghan.

Again let us take this to an appropriate thread and we can discuss it there. There is much more to it than sheer respect vs bad mouthing. We can in the light of facts available to us discuss the times of the best amongst us without touching on their personalities. Our religion teaches us to think and analyze but not belittle any one's efforts
