JF-17 Thunder Multirole Fighter [Thread 7]

So they will give a negative rating or ban me because of something nobody have a problem with but they don't like personally.

Doubt they would go that far, but they don’t want it to be a trend, so who knows. I just mentioned it as a FYI.

Hi,

The name given to the JF17 by the Ferangi shows how capable and interesting that aircraft is to fly.

Jeffrey is a very loving name in the Ferangi culture and all the Jeff's that i came across during my study / work or otherwise in the US were wonderful people that I could not say anything bad about---.

Why would outsiders call it 'Jeff' because of its capabilities?! It has nothing to do with the persona name of 'Jeff', but rather a short form of saying JF-17, or abbreviation of 'JF'. And what is 'Ferangi' culture? this isn't Star Trek with 'Ferengi' species.

Hi,

Since when have the moderators changed their name to GOD---?

You should be really sober while making such comments. There is nothing called jeff in PAF inventory. Participating in professional dialogue, one needs to act like a professional at least.

There is nothing personal like there is nothing called jeff at all. It is a wrong term to call upon a jet which is JF-17 Thunder.

Jeff is a term coined by the DCS community out of affection for the JF-17 and has nothing to do with the actual aircraft or the aviation world. JF-17 has become a favorite in the DCS world extremely fast and everyone there in DCS agrees that if the real aircraft is anything like the DCS aircraft then they would not wanna face it in air combat. I have DCS JF-17 with the oculus rift vr headset along with the thrustmaster hotas, fight control & pedals...it cost me a pretty penny but, oh boy, JF-17 is just amazing. I'm still learning the art of close range dog fighting, but have gotten to the point that I can hold my own against contemporary DCS aircrafts in BVR fights, even managed to dodge a few amraams a few times. couldn't do so as effectively in the f-15 or the mig-29, but in the JF-17 or the F-16, bleeding energy out of missiles is a heck of a lot easier due to their small size and nimble maneuverability. I'll post some game play videos here ones I'm more competent in close air combat.

Agreed in regard to appreciation about Thunder. Nonetheless, DCS is not provided with exact details on which that model is currently performing in DCS.... it could be more than that. Just saying. @SQ8 can shed quality light on it.

Actually the use of wrong term such as jeff will not help to read about Thunder for many of enthusiasts. Not everyone use Jeff and that will result into something wrong in Google Search. Here, need to maintain the proper term and name. We shall not get flooded with such kind of terms from outside the professional discussion.

Hazrat,

Your comment is good enough to explain whether you take liquor physically or not. It might be the brainstorm but your comment was totally disrespectful & uncalled for. So don't make stupid comments about Mod... just because you are an old age & senior member.

Thank you for your consideration.

Hi,

A little heat is good and creates excitement. Can't be discussing weapons of death and destruction with kindness all the time.
