Cant say, Chinese are not good in CFT as Americans are, thay once try on J10 even tested in wind tunnels too, but now further public information on it. So we are not going to see CFT in near future.
First of all no news working of CFT arw on process for thandars, if it is then it will in to early stage that will take years to mature

Question is if it would make sense on the platform. Every addition to jet comes at some compromise as well and its the balance of strengths and compromises that creates potency of a platform.

If China can master rocket science, CFT should not be any more complex than that.

CFT is a very simple thing. First designed by Israeli conception. There is no magic to it. We have half-witted people here who don't know what they are talking about, making bland statements when they dont know jack about anything.

Agree its not hard thing at all. There is no dought in chinas capability. You already said ur self every addition compromises something, so its just question when chonse feel this compromization is now limited. Thay can introduce on any of there jets, my point was so anyone see CFT on active fighter jets till now, answer no.
May be its under development, or even testing but not adopted on production jets

Cft is a very rare or new thing to Paf. We also had it on F6 fighters fews years before retirement. It was used effectively. I've seen few pics of it on F6. What actually is conformal fuel tank. Its just a aerodynamically redesigned fuel tank for less drag and fix configuration on a fighter jet.

Yes PAF is familiar with it, the modification of few F6 with CFT was useful and servaid the purpose as per sharing.
PAF is using F16 block 52 activity with them. So CFT on thandar will do alot of good to increase its range and increasing free handprint

CFTs are pretty staright forward but would still need alot of testing ..whether PAF wants to invest in it or not is not known
but given jf 17 will always fly with 2 fuel tanks and emergence of BVR fights seems its a smart idea to explore
