I have confirmed that these green painted panels are fuel sections , end of the story, calling them composites is wrong.

Retractable refueling probe is not a must, especially for a non-stealthy fighter.

J10c had the same refueling probe.

But I admit it block pilot's starboard horizon in some extent.

The size of the fuselage matters a lot---the size and design of the wing matters a lot as well---.

That is what the inherent problem of the JF17 is---. Its size is 25% too small---.
