1) The speed of the bullets is too high and thus before the aircraft could manoeuvre itself in the way the bullet shall have left the aircraft far behind. So no the bullets cannot hit their own aircraft.

2) Reportedly the IFR will be introduced from the 27th Blck II onwards and will then also be integrated with the older birds.



He made a funny. You fire the bullet while vertical, the bullet goes up, you go up, the bullet comes down, the bullet hits you.
