what JF-17 WILL ALSO PERFORM IN AIR ?

Irony. 12-142 is the last block-1 and currently it is 13-xxx

If we consider the first 50 order, last aircraft will be XX-150.

In the second week of November 2012, it was reported that 47 out of 50 had been produced.

PAC Kamra has capacity to export JF-17 Thunder fighter aircraft: Air Marshal Sohail Gul - The Lahore Times

In May 2013, PAC had produced 40+ JF-17s. That means total no. was more than 40+8=48.

Many countries express interest in JF-17 Thunder|Science-Tech|chinadaily.com.cn

In October 2013, PAC had produced 45 JF-17s. That means total no. was 45+8=53.

Pakistan to sell 05 to 07 JF-17 Thunder next year | The News Tribe

Only 46 have so far entered service out of which 1 was lost to crash. 45 left.

If you observe SIPRI figures, 61 JF-17s (including 8 SBP) were delivered by China till the end of 2012. Those numbers indicate 61 Blk 1s have been ordered in total.

still lacks mid air refueling prob

Air-to-Air refueling is only for Block 2, not the basic version.

It's good to see Wing commander Ronald being the poster boy of JF-17 Squadron.

@Oscar Any idea how far a christian can go in PAF? Up to AVM? since last known example is of Michael John O'Brian

I Also wanna see it but unfortunately neither i am in Dubai nor That Resourceful to get it Ahead of others :(... but when it will get Public we can watch it then...

why is 142 part of no. 16 squadron?

how many aircraft is PAF allocating to each squadron?

There are two squadrons equipped with JF-17:
No 16 -'Panthers'
and
No 26 - 'Black Spiders'

All JF-17s are being allocated to them as they will serve as the Operational Conversion Unit for other squadrons. Once the Third Squadron has enough training and support, the above two squadrons would then release the aircraft.

So only for time being all 50 units are with No 16 and No 26 squadrons.

I think jft test and evaluation squad reserves 8 sbp for it. they are not included in any squadron so 42 + 8 = 50. and 142 is the last block 1
