They are expecting to arrive between 2014 and 2015, 4 years is long enough for testing don't you think?

Cant tell because J10B will be featuring an AESA radar and many more improvements and Even PLAAF has to induct the plane before selling to PAF...and even will take time for clearances..........so cant tel

Who said PLAAF needs to induct it before Pakistan ?? Is there any official statement to that or as usual you are shooting in the dark ?? And what clearances are you talking about ?? PAF is already involved in the J-10 program since last few years, so what clearances are needed now ??

clearences from Russia (if WS-10A didnt meet the requirements and aircraft cirtification and many more before the plane is inducted ....it takes more than 3-4 or more before a plane is inducted after testing (J10 took 6 years after it was tested...)

And what if Russia is not being involved for the engine ?? And even if for emergency purposes the engine is needed, i believe the negotiations would have already started with the Russians, PAF or the Chinese are not gonna sit idly till the plane becomes fully operational. Just like JF-17, where discussion about RD-93 engine happened way before they were inducted.

Plus, J-10B is not a new design that it takes again 4-5 years again for certification, slight changes have been made in the already certified design which would need less time for certification, air inlet and nose are the only things which have been redesigned. And J-10B has already been flying for nearly last 02 years, with atleast 3+ prototypes in operation. And another 4-5 years still to go to 2014-15 for its induction time frame in PAF, sufficient time for certifying it and getting it into production and operation.

And as for Chinese WS-10 engines, new reports on Chinese forums are coming in, where newer J-11s are being fitted with the new engine in numbers, thus it would mean that WS-10 has become operational and soon we may start seeing it in single engined planes too.

So, J-10B can very much become operational much before the deadline of PAF, 2014-15 and before that it can even start coming into CAF service.

News Report regarding first operational Squadron:

the birds took part in military operations in northren pakistan against extremists.
now we are expecting a great show at Zuhai air Show-China. i hope it is not a simple fly past but we do get to see some breath taking manuvers as well..

regards!

That video is an older one, but has JFT integrated a targeting pod and PGMs by now, or are they using dumb bombs against the extremists?
