how do you think Zardari would be eyeing all this? as a forbidden fruit or sour grapes? if these politicians get their way then no enemy has to be concerned about Pakistani armed forces.

You make some good points, but please keep in mind that Zardari, and all others like him, also know that their necks will also be in the noose if something happens to the the State of Pakistan.

So my guess is that they will try to just stick their fingers in wherever they can to lick off some of the proceeds, but the projects will substantially be safe from their greed.

What I do fear is that lack of good judgment on the international stage may cause the Pakistani politicians to expose the State to undue risks that are best avoided, mainly economic, but also geopolitical.

^^ i had made a video which has specs comparisons in the beginning -- but i cant stop watching the whole video , as i put a lot of pics i had in my pc -- once you give a comparison table , indians dont have much room for negative speculations!

To answer his question, JF17 can be considered on par or better with the initial F16s. Also they come at an extremely low cost, no sanctions and all the manufacturing takes place in Pakistan. Which if I'm not mistaken has never produced a fighter at this scale ever. The platform is also expected to evolve in a few years and shall nto only give them experience, but also a decent fighter within their budget.

PAF to roll out 2nd squadron of JF-17 fighter jets by end of month

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Airforce enhancing its production capacity of JF_17 thunder fighter jets would roll out second squadron of the fighter jets by the end of this month.

Pakistani JF-17 Thunder aircraft is an advanced multi-role light combat aircraft jointly developed by Chengdu and Pakistan Aeronautical Complex under a strategic collaboration project. The aircraft is designed to be cost-effective and can meet the tactical and strategic needs of the Pakistan Air Force, and various other air forces.

According to defense sources quoted by a private TV channel, the production capacity of these fighter jets would be enhanced by the PAF and 50 such fighter jets would be produced in Pakistan by the end of this year.

The sources also told that the JF-17 thunder fighter jets would replace the A-5 fighter jet bombers Pakistan has invested US $600 million in this project to induct a new generation of multiple-role jet fighters in the PAF’s inventory.
