JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

@Deino Does that hardpoint on the fuselage carring the BVR actually exist on blk3 production models?

No, in fact is a bad and plain stupid ps-job of a real J-10C with what appears a line-drawing of a Block 3

. .
All aircraft delivered till date are aesa equipped.

Just check the nosecones of 22-305, 22-306. Or from 22-301 till 306. Don't you feel that nosecone of 22-315 is definitely different than the earlier block-3 models?

Nose cone is just a piece of Fiber glass.
Such assumptions cannot be made just by looking at nose cone colour.

If all are Blk 3, why 2x have different nose cone than the other two?

One gray nose cone with the flag painted tail is block 1 (specifically 07-107 which was the first jf-17 inducted to PAF), the other gray nosed jet is Blk 2

What i have yet to see is any blk 3 actually carrying PL-15 or PL-10, which makes me think they haven't integrated them yet

What i want to see is Blk 3 or J-10 of PAF pilots using the HMCS helmets.
They still using those French helmets used by Blk 2.
Makes me wonder 8f HMCS is actually a feature of either Blk 3 or PAF J-10 ?
Or just an urban legend

The other 2 gray nose jet are Block-3. Check their serial nos 22-305 and 22-307. Initial batch of Block-3 most probably came with Standard KLJ-7. Somewhere around 308 or 309 onwards, you will observe the Nosecone changed, indicating they're carrying Aesa radars. 22-315 is the most obvious one. With slanted nosecone indicating AESA in it.

There is a pic of JF-17 carrying PL-10 on wingtips in China during testing. Just like HMD, Dual rack, extra Hardpoint and Ra'ad ALCM integration with Block-2 JF-17 Pics came much later ( After 1-2 years) after actual testing and operationalizing them. We should expect PL-10 and PL-15 pics next year

All 3 are Block-3 . One block-3 carrying Aesa, rest two are still carrying standard PD Radar

Can you post a picture of 22-315 cuz I've maybe missed it, but haven't seen any slant or real change to the nose cone.

Which one is equipped with AESA: 305, 306, or 315?
