JF-17 Block-3 -- Updates, News & Discussion

Look at nose and area behind nosecone of 315. Looks like It is first Block-III carrying Aesa Radar.

Just to repeat PAF wanted to introduce Block-III with KLJ-7 initially AND retrofit Aesa radar later on to all block-III as PAC chief said in the interview back in 2021
All aircraft delivered till date are aesa equipped.

was replaced, take a look at a block 1/2 tail and a b3 tail without paint and youll see what i mean

indra provides ecm equip for the PAF. We use ALQ-500P on JF-17s aswell.

The french supply alot of wiring for the plane. Nothings been dragged down. Usually with political messes its big ticket items that make headlines people care about, you dont see Indians whining about french wiring onboard but if it was a french radar then it would be different
Blk 3 uses a different rwr. More advanced than Alr400. it also has an onboard jammer.
All cable and harnesses are built in house. The only french component is the oxygen regulator.

yes, the last bit was an error on my part, it was french assistance for wiring looms/harnesses, not french import or whatever.

And yes, thats what i wrote

Is this any match for the Beast of the East. The AWACS+ELINT+MOTHER SHIP...... Hazoo Mazungaa, The one an only, totally Indian indigenous SU-30MKI
You forgot Raptor of the East.

They're comparing HMDS and JHCMS side by side on J10C and Blk3s these days. So far, the Chinese system is proving just as capable. It weighs slightly more though.

Thunder’s ECM Capabilities: JF-17 is equipped with a variety of electronic countermeasures, including jamming pods and deception techniques, that can disrupt or deceive hostile radar and communication systems. This capability can be used to protect the aircraft.

AirForces Monthy's latest edition featuring unveiling of JF-17 Block-III during Flypast Rehearsals over Islamabad in Mar'23. JF-17C Blk-III equipped with KLJ-7A AESA radar & advanced avionics is latest fighter induction by PAF in recent month after it inducted J-10C in Mar'22.

Hopefully there will be no more F-16 purchases after these JF-17s. The Americans are extremely dishonest when dealing with other peoples.

AESA radar is a type of radar that uses a grid of small antennas to steer and focus its radar beam. This allows for faster, more precise scanning as well as the ability to simultaneously track multiple targets. AESA radar has increased resistance to jamming.
