As a matter of point, PAF has not stated which of the 3 variants of the KL7A they decided to go for in the end and it will be a matter of debate for years as we go around in circles on this matter. It is all speculation until the ACM confirms it, that is pretty much the history of all procurements within the PAF.

As it should remain. There is no reason for the PAF to disclose which radar will be fitted to the block 3.

Yes. There were some heating issues apparently with the air-cooled version. One of the reasons the testing period extended.

I have strong hope that New Block III will be handed over to PAF during Sep - Dec 2021 and possible unit could be 8-12.

Now assembly line has been started for Block III. That means other validations have been done successfully that is why full production has been initiated.

And do remember bro KLJ-7A has a range of 170 km against 5 meter square targets which good for detecting MKI and mig 29 they have RCS of 15 meter square and 5 meter square respectively but for IAF MIRAGES and RAFALE block 3 need to come closer to detect the RAFALE and IAF MIRAGES hence it will enter a NEZ of METEOR of RAFALE and probably Derby ER fitted on IAF MIRAGE-2000H

That 150km is for fighter sized aircraft as they can manoeuvre easily to bleed energy of the missiles 250km is for tankers Aew&c transport aircraft..... it is safe to assume that PL 15 is better or equal to Aim 120D in terms of range because it pushed the Americans to go for Aim 260 or they could have simply upgraded the Aim 120D....... also newer versions of KLJ7A were developed like the one with 3 arrays and the new engine RD 93MA will give more power so the radar range could be more than 170km but not revealed officially .........

150 km is not feasible BVRs are not fired at their Max range because they have more chance to miss or lose the targets at Max range because of no NEZ (no escape zone) brother

The JF-17 Block III is probably more advanced in the JF-17 family. But honestly, this comparison with Rafale is quite the jokes. Rafale is another class of its own, it is called an omnirole fighter for a reason.

Superior to Rafale hype is just for media and awam......
