I read a lot of their commentaries. And posts from ordinary people. They accuse Arabs of 'raping/pillaging their land. Which they call Yathrib. And many of them are trolls, they say for peace deal we must give them 'Yathrib' back.
Actually I have seen Hebrew forums claiming not only huge territories in KSA but also Jordan, Syria, Iraq and all of Sinai. Apparently this belief of a Greater Israel is a belief held by certain nationalist Jews and some religious Jews. If they are actually working towards that or not I don't know but I highly doubt it.
Remember the contract killings of Mossad on Hamas members in UAE?
Real trust between Arabs and Jews to reappear again is something that will take at least 2-3 generations even if the Palestine-Israeli conflict was solved tomorrow IMO.
@al-Hasani
Question, Do Saudis view someone who's a Jew as a Zionist?
Jew = Zionist or being a Jew doesn't reflect on their nationalist/ political ideology.
There are 30 million Saudi Arabians. Sunni (Shafi'i, Maliki, Hanbali, Hanafi & Sufi), Shia (Twelver, Ismaili, Zaydi), Atheists, ultra-conservatives, conservatives, liberals, socialists, Hijazis, Najdis, Hasawis, Northerns, Southerners, Afro-Arabs, Saudi Arabians of mixed local Saudi Arabian, Arab and Western like me, Saudi Arabians of non-Arab origin from all over the Muslim world that are nationals (due to the Hajj and Umrah), Saudi Arabians that have lived their life's abroad for many years etc. It's hard to generalize.
If you think what the House of Saud appointed Najdi Grand Mufti in KSA says = the opinions of the population of KSA then you are very wrong. No bad word about the Grand Mufti. I like some of his recent statements despite not agreeing with everything in terms of his interpretations of Islam.
What is certain is that there is mistrust and animosity against the Jewish state (Zionism) but I always had the impression that most people are able to distinguish between Jews as a people and Judaism as a religion and then Zionism and the Israeli state and their actions. At least the younger generation. Of course even if we Muslims dare to criticize Israel we are called anti-Semites.
Anyway let me also tell you a thing. Many Arabs use Jews as a scapegoat for problems that Jews have nothing to do with. Also ridiculous conspiracy theories. Most of the hatred that you see against Jews as a people is actually bound in ignorance and something that has been installed in people from a young age.
Especially in countries were Arab nationalism was a huge thing (Iraq, Egypt, Syria, Yemen etc.)
I think, contrary to popular belief, that people in the GCC see Jews as a people (remember this difference) in a more positive manner.
Anyway it's similar the other way around. You have ignorant Jews and more enlightened ones. Even on PDF.
I for once am very tired of the sectarianism in the ME and some of the moronic laws in KSA. In fact I am becoming so liberal that there might as well be beach parties in Jeddah and nightclubs etc. I know. Can't help it. Maybe such views are a reaction to all the bloodshed, moronic discussions, animosity etc. that even people from the same countries have because they have slightly different views.
