Jews allowed to work in Saudi Arabia

.
Most are anti-Israel due to Zionism and the Palestinian conflict. Hatred against Jews as a people is only something that the radicals and ignorants have. Most people can distinguish between the Israeli regime/Zionism and Jews as a people. There is no love for Jews though but that goes for the entire Arab and Muslim world and most of the world actually. Most people in Europe have a bad or neutral view of Jews somehow.

Anyway which ethnicity loves (quite a strong word) another ethnicity unconditionally or blindly? There is no such thing. There are good and bad Jews. Just like there are good and bad Arabs and Muslims etc. I for once do not know a single Israeli but I know a few Jews.

Troll post and troll avatar.

well i think its same in Pakistan , sadly ....
but i got your point ...

anyway , how are you ? it seems you wont spend much time here ...

. .
There was never any problem with Judaism as a religion or Jews as individuals in KSA. Solely with Israel as a state and Zionism.

If the Palestine question will be solved one day then I do not see the need to ban Israeli citizens from traveling to KSA or the vast majority of other Arab and Muslim states..

agreed

@al-Hasani i would need your advice in history stuff.

I am not a historian by profession but you are welcome to go ahead and ask a question. Otherwise Mr. Google is the best "man" to ask out of all of us out there.

Yes, I think that it is the same everywhere in the Muslim world and also many non-Muslim countries (Europe). Jews have rightly or wrongly been attributed a lot of bad and been in trouble as well. I for once have nothing bad to say about the Jews that I know in private (French Jews of various backgrounds) as a people or individuals. But as I wrote and which we all know or at least should then we have good and bad people in every nationality, ethnicity etc. Obviously it depends on your moral values.

I am still here but I just limit my writing to 1-3 threads and often I write quite a lot of posts in a short time span just to disappear for the remaining day or sometimes days/weeks. Not been that active for the past 7 days due to exams and holiday. PDF is addicting though. I am good otherwise. What about you? I hope everything is well.

@al-Hasani

Nothing to do with this thread, but why do you keep removing and adding me in your friends list?
You're like a damn woman. lol

That is because I suspect you of trying to enter my apartment here in Copenhagen and ransacking my place and putting posters of Sayyid Ali Khamenei all over my place.:tsk:

In all seriousness then I should have you "in store". It's just that when PDF was down a lot of strange things happened. Other users that I followed I apparently do not follow anymore. Thanks for notifying me but you might be removed again if you do not behave.:o::rofl:

I updated my previous post. Forgot to answer your question.

Arabs and Jews lived in peace in general (the biggest Jewish diaspora in the world was always in the Arab world) and then Europe until the Palestinian-Israeli conflict began. So it is a recent phenomenon although there have been animosities in the past but mostly the ties were cordial or at least peaceful. Many major cities in the Arab world such as Baghdad, Sana'a, Damascus, Cairo, Casablanca, Algiers etc. had sizable Jewish communities and lived side by side with their Muslim neighbors.

In Arab/Berber controlled Al-Andalus Jews were florishing more than anywhere else while the Jews were murdered elsewhere in Europe. When Al-Andalus felt in 1492 most of the Jews chose to fled to the Ottoman territories rather than Christian Europe.

Then came the pogroms in Russia and later the Nazis and WW2.

You should read this article written by a Jewish historian.

So, what did the Muslims do for the Jews? | The Jewish Chronicle

I had interactions with Jews I am just yet to have a interaction with a Israeli Jew outside of PDF.

I might have met a American Jew in the US while being based there for 1 year without knowing it. From my knowledge most Jews in the US are leftists with a Orthodox minority mainly based in NYC. Many of the most famous critics of the Israeli state and their policy are actually American Jews such as Finkelstein, Chomsky etc.

Yet due to the recent Jewish history and the fact that there are only about 15 million Jews or so out there most tend to support the Israeli state as this is their only homeland nowadays. I kind of understand this although I disagree with how the Israeli state has been conducting itself vis-a-vis the Palestinians for the past 70 years.

first , thanks i am fine , just a bit busy with studies ..

well its not hidden from anyone how Jews were massacred in Europe for centuries , not by Muslims for sure , and if Muslims were so against the Judaism ideology than obviously it would be hard for Jews to survive in Arab land .. but yeah after Israel-Palestine issues , it becomes the core of the changing relationship between Jews and Arabs , brothers become enemies .. over the time , the lunatics take charge and spice things up to make worse ...i somehow here blame the Jews of Israel who has not learn to live with Arabs ..and than so on and on ..

that link is good read thanks ..

Saudi labour ministry denies change in 'employment visas to Jews'

Saudi Arabia has denied reports that it will be employing Jews within the Kingdom.

Following reports by the local daily Al-Watan, which quoted a Saudi labour ministry source saying they did “not mind issuing employment visas to Jews” the Saudi labour ministry released an official statement denying that there was any change to the official policy, according to the Arabi21 news site.

The ministry said the while new forms for foreign employees provide the option to choose Judaism as a faith, it does not mean that the government has made an official decision to authorise the employment of Jews in the kingdom.

Among the other religious beliefs put forward by the ministry as options on the forms are Zoroastrianism, Communism, Judaism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, and no religion.

On Tuesday, Al-Watan quoted a labour ministry source emphasising that no religious background was a block to employment in Saudi Arabia.

“The ministry does not mind issuing employment visas to Jews as it deals with nationalities, and not with religions,” said the source.

“Saudi Arabia does not oppose dealing with any religion and this is clearly demonstrated in the King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz International Centre for Interreligious and Intercultural Dialogue,” referring to the Austria-based organisation supported by the Saudi monarch for the purposes of promoting dialogue among different faiths and cultures.

“For example, if a worker has the Yemeni nationality and the Jewish faith, he is allowed to work in the kingdom because the ministry does not look at religions, but at nationalities,” the source said.

Al-Watan also quoted a member of Saudi’s Shura council, Sadaqa Bin Yahya Fadhel, supporting the comments.

“We Muslims do not have a problem with Jews or Christians,” he said. “Our major issue is with the Zionist Movement which exploits the Jewish faith to promote and serve its own agenda.”

“We can deal with anyone from any religion, and the ministry is right as long as it does not deal with Israelis. As a kingdom, we do welcome all religions, but we cannot accept Israelis because they are linked to Zionism, a colonialist movement that uses and takes advantage of the Jewish faith. Judaism has nothing to do with this movement.”

While the country has never established formal relations with the State of Israel or allowed Israelis to travel to the Kingdom, its attitude towards non-Israeli Jews has been more ambiguous.

In the 1970’s, visitors to the Kingdom had reported having to sign affidavits swearing they were not Jewish.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL), an organisation monitoring global anti-Semitism, has previously observed that Saudi Arabia “bars anyone from bringing into Saudi Arabia religious ritual objects, including religious texts, from any faith other than Islam, effectively banning religiously observant Jews from entering the country.”

Saudi Arabia officially prohibits the construction of non-Islamic centres of worship and prohibits the public practice of any other religion than Islam, though private worship is officially permitted.

Good move. Jews will attempt desecrating Prophet's grave. We can't let them in. As they view Medina as ancient Jewish land and will attempt occupying by bidding on apartments and slowly bringing other Jews there. They are threat to most holy grave in Islam and most holy land.

Fear vs. Hope.

Fear vs. Hope.

Until you people outline what it means to be allowed into Saudi Arabia and submit monthly report of your activities then you will be allowed. If any transactions aren't reported then all of you will be deported. And there should be limit on how many Jews can immigrate to Saudi Arabia. I say 200 every three months. For security purposes.
