Japanese Ambassador at an UN meeting: why you are laughing, shut up!

Not surprised at the Chinese racism towards the Japanese. I've seen many times Chinese posters calling them noodle heads, etc.

Jap is a racial term like "chinq".

This is not about racism, with such high caliper diplomat, we expect some professinalism on the way he spoke...you just like to take opportunity to fish in trouble water, aren't you?

Not the first time Japanese Diplomats have got in trouble for mannerism.

The one country that boast the most is obvious. No need to dance around further.

This country also adopt its colonial master's language, politics and imperialist policies.

Being a Taiwanese in USA doesn't mean you can insult China :astagh:

I think he should stick with speaking Japanese rather than english, or you know, speaking sober rather than drunk.

Funny Japanese!!!

btw if you remember a Chinese also did same and even more funny as he was frustrated at India getting some Security Council seat while China got sidelined.

The video was posted here earlier. Can someone find it?

Its not even that funny, or "looser" like. Chinese folks still have inferiority complex towards Japanese it seems.

next time please include some details for us to understand what the situation was

'Shut up' gaffe exposes envoy to criticism - Asia-Pacific - Al Jazeera English
a representative from Mauritius had criticised Japan's justice system, which does not allow lawyers to be present during interrogation.

Ueda jumped to his country's defence."Certainly Japan is not in the middle age," he says. "We are one of the most advanced country in this field."

The comment provoked laughter. "Don't laugh! Why you are laughing? Shut up! Shut up!" the ambassador shouted.

"We are one of the most advanced country in this field. That is our proud. Of course, there are still shortages of course, shortcomings.

"Every country has shortages and shortcomings, but we are trying our best to improve our situation."
