F35 is designed as a "low" fighter and naval aviation fighter and if you are aware of how military aviation works, navy fighter will have no chance against air force fighters.

Air force need a high and low pair, in USA F15 and F16. Navy cannot put very good fighter like f15on board carrier due to constrains. So she got an f18.

There is no chance of f18 vs f15.

So if j20 or t50 is design for air force, then they will have a lot of advantage against f35.

But I wonder why US navy use single engine F35 but not a middle size twin engine fighter like stealth F22/FA18.

The technology of F-22 is simply too critical, the US cannot pass it to anyone, because there is a risk of getting leaked.

The F-22 engine is also superior with its low bypass ratio design which is more suitable to super cruise than the F-35 engine.

The only advantage for F-35 is its newer avionics.

However, the F-22 is bigger with more room to upgrade with even more advanced avionics in the future.

Militarily we are equal to Russia, and both have its unique advantage and disadvantage.

And I am sorry to tell you that the modern stealth fighters are mostly judged by its appearance.

By judging the appearance of the Shinshin, its RCS is nowhere close to that of the J-20.

Japan's independent military industrial complex has been crippled by the US since 1945, while China has developed its own.
