People love to criticize just for sake of criticizing, Killing of 8 Blue Sheeps (who have passed their productive life) in a year doesn't make any difference, And you should also keep in mind that not everyone who get permit is successful in hunting and strict rules, that's why it's called trophy and becomes news if someone succeed.

Even so, they should charge more than rs8000 which is nothing for any foreigner due to the exchange rates

These hunting permits (unlike permits for Houbara bustard) are given with strict conditions and hunting is done under watch of authorities, hunter are allowed to hunt the only animal which authorities approved (in other words the ones who have passed most part of their productive life), So, Hunting of few of them once in a years doesn't make any impact but funds raised from these permits are used on wild life and welfare of people. So, it's not a bad thing.

Hunting for sport is the lowest form of human behavior. I am against it. Culling pest like animals is one thing but to go out of your way to hunt rare species cannot be justified. And we all know how these things work in Pakistan, the money won't go in any welfare of the wildlife, only a select few corrupt people.

You have all the rights to criticize hunting as sport, but than it shouldn't be limited to only Pakistan as it's done even in US. Gilgit-Baltistan is far better than rest of Pakistan in term of corruption, I have personal experience with local guides of Gilgat Baltistan, and believe me they will not let you violate rules and are very much caring about wild life and environment. Hunters there don't enjoy luxury like Arabs in rest of Pakistan.

world's second longest animal is most likely some whale...first one being the blue whale...And pakistan's longest animal is definitely not this sheep...There are cows, bulls, tigers, cheetahs, elephants for on land...and what ever is the longest fish in pakistan is probably the longest animal of pakistan. Most likely some whale that roams around pakistani waters is the longest animal in pakistan...

Yes, It shouldn't be killed (but this old sheep would have eventually killed by snow leopard as per basic survival for fittest law of wild life) , Other good source of earning money for Gilgit-Baltistan is tourism which is currently stalled because of WoT.
