For this to happen you peaceful Palestinians and Israelis need to work together. You force your Hamas government to stop attacks on Israel before elections. So that Israelis are no longer threatened to vote for extremist Netanyahu again.
When new Israeli government is formed, you Palestinians call for fresh elections and vote Hamas out of power. Then sign new peace agreement with Israel without Hamas or Netanyahu interference.

Hamas stopped responding, agreed to a ceasefire and Israel is rejecting it and persisting with its attacks.

What do you mean? 5 Arab countries invaded Israel in 1948, but lost. Same countries invaded again in 1967, lost again. 1973 was close, but still ended with Israeli victory as Egypt and Jordan recognized it following the war.
