Israeli anger at India clothing shop called Hitler

LOL! Don't remind him of his past. After all we ruled these baniyas for 1000 years, so you understand where his inferiority complex comes from.
Lol the best way to win a Debate.................I thought I was on a civilized forum

Damn harvard or stanford. Learn business from Gujjus. Thats the moral of the story. Free publicity worldwide, free money and all this legally. Beat that.

Lots of people are without jobs...:D

I would agree that Mein Kampf or the gas chambers figure into the minds of 99.98% of those Indians that would visit this shop.

Err...Did you mean "I wouldn't agree" ?

Regardless of his heinous mass war crimes which a reasonable person can't accept, I think he is one of the very few people in history of the mankind that deserve to be called "leader". I admire how he turned Germany into a legendary nation in less than one decade. Most of today most developed and sophisticated weapons are based on German invented arms and prototypes.

This interpretation is far from correct. Please take a look at the record of German science, technology and armaments development in previous decades, especially from the 1850s onwards. It will quickly become apparent that Hitler's contribution was to drive the country in a certain direction with no regard for treaties or International law, thus gaining significant advantages over those who did not follow suit. The science and technology was always there. The knowledge for military development was always there. What Hitler contributed in those directions was to hurl Germany into a war for which she would have been ready five years later, simply because he was an optimistic lunatic, and could not believe that he would be resisted.

I fully understood the negative implications of my post and then only posted it.. . Risk worth taking..:D

I may become a target for the anti-bharmin lynch mob out here..:D

Where's that rope.......

If you think Hitler was "Ze leader", study how rapidly the Japanese industrialized through the Meiji restoration. That would put the Germans to shame. Atleast in my opinion.

This is a free land where everyone possess equal rights .
If a person wants he can name a shop according to his prefences be it tom , dick or harry .
If u want to shop from this shop u gi there and if u dont then u dont .
And lastly my response to hurting sentiments.
Look he will do whatever he wants , have a tatoo named after hilter , or own a shop .
This is not Israel or Pakistan or any middle east country .
Kuch ukhaad sakte ho to ukhaad lo or else keep howling and crying .

.
Why would you think that?

Because otherwise this sentence and the following sentence contradict each other.

Moreover as I said more than 90% of Indians would not know what Third Reich or Mein Kamph was. Is it a new chicken curry in the highway dhaba ?

A horribly perverted remark.

Its owner says he did not know who Adolf Hitler was and the store is named after a business partner's grandfather who was called Hitler for being strict.
So.. where did this swastika come from then? unless it's the trademark of his partner's grandfather!

I agree, Most of them would have no idea whatever Hitlers accomplishments were apart from that he was the leader of nazi(whatever that means) germany.
To them ..or rather the pop culture youth .. what would attract is the "cool" label of the Swastika and whatever mojo comes associated with it.

The fact being that it is still alive and well..

And even taking in box office..

Now where is the Israeli protest to that?

.
It is an action of an individual, why are people blaming the state? The state has no control over an individual's preference neither are they endorsing this shop.

That actually makes a lot of sense

Their is actually an apparel brand called FCUK
Talk about attracting attention

Few people know that stealth bombers tech was first developed by Germans, RPG and AK-47 were inspired by Germans similar weapons. He committed unbelievable mistakes as he over estimated his power when he attacked USSR and Britain at the same time and USA intervention was the death blow to him. Technically, he was alone with two nations fighting the whole world, he was lucky that aliens didn't join the Axis.

An interesting name for a clothing shop, LOLL

In reference to some of the opinions here; the expression "Hitler" is used not uncommonly in India to denote any person who is rigid, unbending, strict to an extreme etc.
Even I called my FIL (not to his face of course) a "Hitler" just because he was reluctant to anoint me his SIL. Whenever I used to meet my then 'wife-to-be', I first asked her how "Hitler" was!
Whether she found that amusing, is another matter. Just as "Hitler" got on with me majorly after I became his SIL.

About the Nazi depiction of the Swastika, it is extremely powerful in grahics. I had a Graphic Designer friend in India who incorporated it into his firm's logo. While he was no admirer at all of either Hitler or the Nazis, he was a voracious reader of anything related to Nazi Germany.

Otherwise, this hoo-haa about the Clothing Store's name is just 'much ado about nothing'.
