Seriously. The OP is a rehash of the world that existed 100+ years ago. And even a pathetic attempt at that.

Palestinians were offered a separate state but they refused it.

and instead started violent militant jihadi style attacks on the newly formed state of Israel.

Palestinians should have settled down and developed their state, their area.

It is so gratifying to see in this thread that there are still sensible and honest people people all around the world who defends the right of Israel to exist like any other country in the world and the right of the Jewish people to have their own nation-state like other world nations.

Although the creator of this thread clearly did not want anti-Smites to support his case, this is exactly what he got. His entire argument is based on the Idea that Jews our not allowed to have self-determination like other people, for example the Palestinians. Although the creator said he is not an anti-Semite, this is clearly an anti-Semite argument.

There are facets of the argument that aren't anti-semitic, but one would have to be willfully blind to only look at them to the exclusion of all other facets.

Israel has a right to exist under any acceptable definition of the right.

The author's criteria is not acceptable because it is not enforceable and has been arbitrarily limited to Israel (because there are many other countries, some very major, whose very existence would be endangered under those criteria).

More than anything it is divorced from reality at best, A peaceful facade for militant extremism at worst.

As BombayDude said, the going basis for a right to exist has been international recognition and military force.

Israel is recognized by the vast majority of the world

Israel kills more effectively than its opponents (not for lack of trying mind you)

Israel thus has a right to exist.

Israel I believe will live longer than any Arab country, because the hatred they are treated to everywhere their resolve to exist becomes much higher.. Oh and except Pakistan which other Muslim country has nukes to Annihilate Israel?
