ISI Caught 2 Suspects Who Planned To Kill Imran Khan

No one dare to kill any political leader in Pakistan
Wasn't Benazir Bhutto killed?
Wasn't her father hanged?
Weren't their family almost erased in one attack?
I heard targeted killings are common in Karachi.

Excellent response to a troll :)

threat on Imran Khan is very real
his opponents are consumed by hatred and blinded and resorting to the dirty and petty politics.
at this moment any unnatural death of a political leader including Imran Khan will have devastating effects like the assassination of Benazir.
if the military establishment provides overt security to Imran then Asma Gahangir and Hamid Mir will cry foul on behalf of Nawaz league.

The time has come for us to rise above these fears especially posed by the corrupt and anti-state elements like na-ahal NS and (please add all the proper "adjectives") Asma Jahangir, Geo TV.

So, Pakistani state should provide IK foolproof security. Even NS should be provided security until he gets thrown into the jail after the trial courts verdict because his ugly and selfish daughter wants to come into power even if she has to sacrifice her father and reap votes of sympathy.

IK has done what would have been difficult for the establishment and other pro-Pakistan elements to do without significant backlash from international community.

There are many motives for the ‘Target’ killing. In most places it is carried out on account of personal grudge/enmity, root cause of which being money, land or women (Zann, Zarr & Zameen). Next are the religious/ sectarian /ethnic and finally the political motives where anyone can lose his/her life without being guilty of any crime other than accident of birth or his political views.

Since the rise of the jehadis in aftermath of Afghan war, sectarianism has been by far the main motive behind the target killings in Pakistan. The sectarian motive does not stop at Shia/ Sunni rivalry. Sufi shrines have also been targeted because Wahhabis consider the practice ‘Shirk. Even the Deobandi Scholar Maulana Hassan Jan was shot dead in Peshawar in 2007 because he dared to point out that ‘Suicide’ was ‘Haraam’ in Islam.

The point I am trying to make is that exploitation of religion for political purposes is the real reason for the target killing in my country because the naïve people doing it think that they are doing Allah’s work! You can stop / make it difficult to the extremists to attack high value targets such as Imran Khan, but what about ordinary folks? When they fail in their main objective, terrorists find a soft target and kill score of innocent bystanders instead. Life of any human being is as dear to his loved ones as it its mine to my family or IK’s` to the PTI supporters.

Operation Radd al Fassaad has been going on for more than 2 years, extremist’s attacks still continue albeit at a reduced level. Our main effort must now shift to convince that section of population facilitating the ISIS/TTP killers; that they are not doing Allah’s work and they would be burn in hell for their nefarious acts. However political will to implement National Action Plan in full is sadly lacking.

Hey. Sir,

I recently visited Pakistan and literally travelled far and wide from Karachi to North through southern and central Punjab with my foreign friends. We found not a single person who supported any terrorist whatsoever though the degree of hate/sympathy varied on individual basis from some saying the terrorists are hell bound hounds to a few saying they are misled and brainwashed people who do not understand the teachings of Islam.

The operation Radd-ul-Fasad is proceeding at a steady pace but it has been kept mostly off the radars of media by the current military leadership deliberately. I met a few people who told us how agencies are working in the Punjab and picking up the terrorists and enemy agents (RAW & others) and local people have been helpful. Otherwise the situation would have been far worse as India and others invested a lot but most of their assets have been neutralised.

Honourable Sir,

The fact that you travelled across Pakistan without any incident does not mean that peace prevails in Pakistan. I have also visited Pakistan during 2016 and thankfully remained safe. This is because there are 200-million souls in Pakistan and only about 60,000 or so have lost their lives. That is only 0.03%; meaning that chances of an unobtrusive traveller getting hurt are small.

I however look at it from a different angle. In 2017 thus far a total of 393 civilians and 124 security personnel have been martyred by the terrorists. There was no reason for it.

Undoubtedly Operation Radd al Fassaad has managed to reduce the terrorist’s incidents; never the less violence still goes on. Operation Radd al Fassaad was launched on Feb 22, 2017. Since you may not take my word for it, I am noting down the links to the news of the major incidents from March 2017 onwards.

Pakistan is my country too and living abroad has not diminished the pain I feel each time I read an innocent Pakistani is martyred. In my opinion human life is sacred and this number is far too many. Without people of the area providing safe houses and support, terrorists, whether Raw /CIA funded or not, cannot carry out the attacks. That is the reason I maintain that we need to change the ‘MINDSET’ which motivates the facilitators. This is not doing Allah’s work but working for the Satan.

Sir,

I'm not doubting your claims rather I have read/listened these bad news myself and lamented on the loss of life and condemned the cowardly act. We both are in the same boat. All I wanted to point out that these actors are foreign funded and do not enjoy any popular support. Of course these incidents are still taking places but such terrorists are even able to breakthrough the security of western countries like France, UK , Germany despite very different racial profiles advanced systems.

Total loss of People is around 27-35K not 60K . At times Pakistani government blows this figure out of proportion to get sympathy around the world . Out of the 30K terrorists that died majority were Central Asians like Uzbeks , Chechnyians , Tajiks etc .
