Of course it is difficult. BUT THAT"S HOW IT IS EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD. In as much an argument that getting that consent is a nightmare, there is no argument to support that landowners have no significant say. And guess what? Several planned industrial corridors are 100s of KMs long. SO the impact is huge.
And I know you're a hypocrite. You wax eloquent about process, when you're ready to give up your own house under the rules of such a bill, then come and lecture me.
So you want a system where I can hold up a state's economic future and futures of millions of people associated with it just because I don't feel like giving up my house for 4 times the market value?
And not only that, even if I am ready to give up my house for a suitable compensation, my maid or my cook can stop it since their job is associated with it.
That's your Congi version of land bill, and that's what you are supporting. You can't make anything bigger than a safetypin factory with this kind of a law. The only thing that this law will lead to is creation of land mafias, who will closely work with the corrupt local leaders for forceful land grabbing, consents will be manufactured at gun point for a price, and land owners will be the ultimate loser. And that's why Congress wants such a law, government acquisition doesn't give their land mafias any room to make money.
Btw, a piece of our land has already been given for a bridge some 7-8 years ago. On the contrary, 12 shop owners have sent one metro line in Kolkata to cold storage, some 14%-15% (or less) unwilling villagers have sent Singur plant+its 70 anciliaries to another state, and wrecked the future of Singur and Bengal as a whole, and another "Protest venture" by TMC+Maoists has raped the prospects of 'World's 2nd largest petrochem project" in Nandigram and later in Nayachar. So please don't sing those moronic social theories to me. Today crimes and political killings and vandalism is on the rise in Bengal because of the unemployment, youths here don't have anything meaningful to do in life.
You and your favourite political parties have one fcuking example in hand, we have already done everything that your eminent leaders are preaching, but you and your political leaders won't learn, politics and staying in power is more important for your kind.
