You are rightSometimes I Feel they have left NS there with his fake democracy for this purpose
continuing from my last post re your subject title.Hi,
The thing is that thru all this turmoil---there is a very strong ray of hope for Pakistan emerging now---. The rudderless boat has an oar now----it has a direction and it has a focus and it has goals.
To achieve those goas---there will need to be some very serious and concerning decision that will take place.
If it comes thru it, right and straight---Pakistan would emerge as a strong nation politically---financially and militarily. And that is a position that many a nations might not like Pakistan to be in.
A weak and a meandering Pakistan is of no concern to anyone----a strong and projecting Pakistan is worrisome---. A strong Pakistan would be more demanding of its position in the world order----so---would there ever arrive a need to curtail the progress of Pakistan to put it back to where it belonged for a long time!
Hi,
My innocent young brother---this is a brutal world----. In real world---you take the worst case scenario and then build up on that----. If you prepare ahead of problems---you can fight them better.
Ummm u know how noobish my posts are but im still going to write.Hi,
Pakistan is going in the right direction as of now thru the direct role of pak military into managing and maintaining the country. As the things are getting better---should there be a concern that powers to be may want to create instability in the country and assassinate those who are in a position to make the difference.
Pakistan has also started talking to Russia---and possibly signing deals of interest---and General Raheel visiting Russia lately----would that create any issues in the western block. There is a general shift of Pakistan towards Russia as pakistan has gotten tired of the " blame game " and " do more " kind of rhetoric that the americans had been singing for a longtime time.
Is the united states of America concerned enough to do something radical to destabilize Pakistan so that it does not emerge out of the chaos that it has been living in for the last many years.
It is for sure that the U S would not let go of Pakistan without giving it a fight---but would it go to the extent of assassinating the power base in Pakistan to make a point and keep Pakistan under control.
What carrot would Nawaz Sharif dangle in front of the americans asking for a favor to get rid of Gen Raheel and his team---.
Or what kind of promises would the americans make to Nawaz Sharif t get rid of Gen Raheel and his team on his coming visit the next month.
So---is there an assassination on the table----or is there a pack your bags kind of deal about to happen.
A nice summary of our rather bitter sweet type of relationship .@MastanKhan US was infatuated with Pakistan due to Pakistan's own antics as well...we can not discount that.
We called our nuclear bomb "Islamic bomb"...we engaged in nuclear proliferation.
We started a reckless war with India and then expected the US to come to our aid.
Albeit the Americans supported the jihadists against the Soviets...it was Pakistan which bestowed upon them the Godhood which was bound to ring some alarms later on.
The nation's immaturity and recklessness earned itself lack of respect and trust on a global level. The US was quite pro-Pakistan in the beginning and helped us a lot.
The case of the exploding mangoes is more of a KGB thing than the CIA...Zia was a total Arab/American lackey and a sycophant.
They have to kill Bilawal to make Zardari win some seats. I believe if they kill zardari and claim that their CIA did it, in that scenario they can win Pakistani heartsSir rest assure, every one is watching the master stroke with his / her fingers between the teeth.
This guy Asim Hussain was with Zardari in US, when CIA was making redundant deal with Zardari.
following your lead, i see Nawaz Sharif / Imran Khan as potential targets of their own handlers.
A nice summary of our rather bitter sweet type of relationship .
US will not do anything to Pakistan as long as Pakistan is not being reckless and immature

do you agree with me that the forces who would like to eliminate leadership (political and/ or military) would like to discredit Pakistan military which is seeing some unprecedented support and following among the masses?
discredit military how? remove its current COAS and have someone like Kyani or Jahangir Karamat who no one will care then they came and went OR remove COAS through a violent act and get NS to promote a General like karamat or kyani etc.
and then bank on the politicians that they will continue to fill their pockets and continue with their show bouts with their political opponent?s
in my view, killing our army chief might backfire for the planners and might result in more assertive military with the population behind it putting more pressure on NS to do the reform, nab financial and violent criminals and see that PCEC stays on track.
the counter to such attempt and achieve what you wrote above is that we make institutions so strong that we dont have to rely on personalities and the good work continues even after the loss of its leader,.
If the americans wanted the welfare of Pakistan---they would not have forced Benazir on Pakistan and after her death---they would not have forced Zardari on Pakistan either---.
Exactly. The mistrust is of-course mutual but to be fair it has been more of our doings in the past that has lead to our outright ostracization these days. They gave us a great deal of military aid in 50-60s after joining SEATO/CENTO but we funneled that to our ill-thought / ill-planned war against India. And since then, what has not been done. Again, its not all of our fault but we have more than the due share in this relationship fiasco. Wish we had statesmen leading the country and we had more respect in the community of nations.
I was recently in the US for a few days, and the way i was singled out of the queue at the airport and questioned for being a Pakistani, was quite humiliating indeed (they let me in eventually, i was there for a conference). But i am not that naive to say, Oh they hate Pakistanis/Muslims, hence that (or shall i say only that ). We need to do some introspection and see what's wrong that the world equate us with all the other "Special" countries.

how could I miss out Imran Khan. like Raheel, Imran Khan also gave hope and created a following across Pakistan among the people of Pakistan. any harm to him can cause a lot of negative reaction and dismay among the peopleUmmm u know how noobish my posts are but im still going to write.
From what i know abt zardari coming to power and current day scenario, things seem quite different to me.
Last year dharnas and thanx to imran khan's efforts he has managed to educate the public what real democracy is,what it means. As in, a democratic gov is one such gov where not even a single vote is stolen. He has managed to engage and evoke political activism in an otherwise indifferent population that had no interest left in politics cuz they had lost hope in system.
From what i can guess this is an entirely unique thing to happen in pakistan's history and perhaps things werent like that when zardari was installed,. Then Musharraf's rule was an autocratic military rule where demcracy wasnt allowed to grow ,that thing had created a political vacuum too , and ppl had lost the choices to pick a civilian ruler. Then ofcourse we know abt foreign powers meddling in our affairs.
If nawaz gets killed it wont be blamed on coas. Instead it will be a source of joy for a nation seeking to kick out nawaz sharif and get imran appointed as pm.
So the chances of assassination cud be more of imran khan. If imran goes , a populist leader will be lost and ppl 'might' be forced to keep up with status quo. Which again wudnt be so benefitial for usa as long as a conscientious coas as raheel is in power.
So either imran or coas. This time its not an easy game for usa imo.
"I did not say it was your fault, I said I was going to blame you".
Comes to mind.
I was also in a US airport a while back, I was not singled out.. joked around... went through security and immigration in 4 minutes considering I was a new guy in . On the other hand, a Arab student was arrested because he was simply being an arse with TSA and not cooperating.
But I wholeheartedly agree with your first paragraph.
