Their personal choice. Cow is revered. Bulls are not. :) there is no such religious obligation. As long as you don't eat humans.

it's true that many Hindus don't eat any non veg but there is no list of 'haram' or a rule book to strictly follow either.

very simply.. vegetarian is easy to digest, so do what's good for your body (temple)

Of course it should be .People will get broad minded and the secularism will snatch all the powers from the low life mullahs .Pakistan is a talented nation and currently terrorism created by mullahs is the major holding us back.
If we call M.A jinnah our leader then we should realize what he really opted for us. Remain islamic republic but in that case call Zia ul haq your father of the nation.

.
It will do wonders change it to republic of pakistan , the nation has to stand up and look into the eyes of these molvies and tell them to f off ... the islamic republic has brought only death and destruction

to be very frank, as much as i want this country to get rid of religious extremists, so do i want to get rid of secular extremists! But then reality strikes and I make a second wish: let them both stay and keep fighting each other so the remaining majority may live in peace. Two opposite extremes balance the whole system.

both parties have a fundamental problem of ignorance.

Any country's progress depends on civilian institutions: education and health infrastructure, apolitical police, FIA, IB, NAB, Judiciary, Strong Local Govts. I fail to see how does 'secularism' or 'religion' stops us from achieving it.

No.. Your country was created for Muslims and as an Islamic Republic.. No less than shariah law (same as the one Afghan Taliban's version which ur agencies support ) shall bring you prosperity and solve your problems..

But you should be more comfortable with secular extremists as there is no violence/terrorism because of them

Remember what happened recently in Turkey, the prosecutor executed and the gun trotting woman shot. They were secularists.

they have their own baggage of ills which they bring to the society... nudity, gambling, drinking, sex (out of marriage) etc etc... all of this has social cost which the society pays in the form of: rape culture, crime, health costs, family values etc etc

ill prefer a society which has social stigma attached to all of the above. And some sort of religiosity (irrespective of the type of religion) helps in achieving this...

there is not conservative or libral islam .. islam by itself a modren religion. in the begning i suggested that it sud stick to Pakistanies since we dealing with this system and we chose what we want..
your entry in this topic represent secularism which will hijack our discussion and later it will become Pak vs Ind..

Its not always counter productive to have neutral outside opinion.

:) this is a general misconception and unlike every other Muslim, i have our own scholars to blame rather then the western media and Zionist lobby. Our people were tasked to portray the true values of our religion, it never was the responsibility of the western media.

Why blame scholars, the real culprit are the followers.

I am a born hindu, have read Gita and Quran.

Yes it is the solution.
But who will bell the cat?
Old traditions die hard.

Really, what about the Patriotism crap the US shoved down on its people to invade Iraq, a country that didn't even attack them?

patriotism is not the subject here, stick to what was discussing.

Okay, in case of extremists..i agree for the sake of arguing but not that at all will bring any near to the mayhem which the other side bringing in.

We are not lucky enough to get the best solution but forced to pick the least harmful one.
